First night in my Inspired Overland RTT!! | Dollar Tree Camp Dinner | Wichita Mountains

Howdy!! Today’s videos is a road trip and camping vlog of my first night in my Inspired Overland RTT.
I drove out on a Friday from DFW to the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma and stayed at the Doris Campgrounds.
For dinner, I ate canned chicken on roasted chicken flavored instant rice. You can pick up this meal at Dollar Tree for $3.
At the campsite, my buddy Tommy and I enjoyed a nice fire and sharing stories from college.
The following day I hiked Longhorn trail, played golf with Tommy, hung out on Post at Fort Sill, cooked an amazing steak dinner, and hit the town with some army buds.
On Sunday, Tommy and I went to church and ate lunch at a chill cafe in Medicine Park.
Overall it was a great weekend and I enjoyed documenting it!!

Do you have the standard size in this tent or the XL version?

@@richardson_adventures Yes! I'm looking into getting their XL version of this tent. The racks on my canopy shell are rated for 200lb (maybe 250lb?) and I origionally had in mind running a TopOak RTT (180lb) + plus awnings on my two sides at 25lb each. I was either over the dynamic rating with my 3 items or pushing the rating if it were to actually be 250lb. Running this RTT instead would put my 3 rack items at ~130lb! Such less stress on my racks, increased nimblness in being less top heavy, slight increase in MPG, and sits 4" flush instead of ~8" on hardshell options. Oh... and in my scenario the Inspired Overland Lightweight XL RTT is the same price as TopOak's Galaxy. ~$1,500

@@ramsgonzalez3974 oh yeah!! It’s a game changer for all of those reasons! It’s nice knowing it’s not super heavy and still so easy to set up each night. I think you’ll really like it!

@@ramsgonzalez3974 sounds like a plan! I’ll actually be spending about 30 consecutive nights in it in June with my wife so stay tuned for that! I’m sure we’ll find plenty of things we like and dislike about the rtt during that time period
