Nice!! I have a 2019 4 runner SR5 in Nautical Blue. King shocks, 17x9 SCS Ray 10 brushed copper on 275 70r17. Nice to hear other SR5 owners talk about how capable they are compared to the Off Road trim!!
Im no expert, but Ive seen videos about the trackbars and they need to remain level. They installed lift kits for them. Otherwise a sick mod... beautiful, love the tailgate.
Thank you!! I actually had this product designed and sent to me as a tester, I’ll be selling them shortly. Keep an eye out for my next upcoming videos, they’ll be posted!
That’s coming soon! They’re zip tied on because the mounts they provided needed to be welded. I’ve made my own mounts to be welded on in a much better position 🤙🏼
30ft of 1.5x1.5” steel bar/tube and about 6ft of 2x3” steel bar/tube, as well as a 3x5” 3/16” steel plate. About a tank of gas in the welder and you’re good to go. $225 in materials total!
I’m actually designing my own sliders. Gonna be strong but low key and minimal just like the rear bumper. After the sliders, I’ll be doing a front bumper. No re gearing surprisingly, flat Texas roads treat me well with stock gears as it sits. Just the good old ATRAC, no lockers. Haven’t gotten stuck yet!
@@TR5_Adventuressmart man. You can’t beat Toyota for over landing etc. I’m waiting for the 2025/2026 4Runner before I make a move. I have to see what they do with the 6th Gen.
SR5 crew!!! How wide are your tires? I’m looking for that for my SR5. I know i can do the 1.25 spider spacers but I would rather have a wider tire than go that route. Pls help 🫡🫡🫡
Thanks man! They’re 315/70r17, about 11.9 to 12” wide. I ran 1.25” spacers for a looong time and they were great. Had 285/75’s on TRD pro wheels and the spacers. I recommend starting there and rocking that for a while. You’ll be just fine on 285s on stock width wheels with spacers.
@@TR5_Adventures thank you! Yes, I’m going 285’s with Fifteen52 Range HD’s for now. Idk if I’ll ever go 315’s 😅 but I like the wide stance. I’ll start with the spacers 🫡🫡🫡
No rock sliders or did I miss that. Did you replace your coil springs with all the added weight? Are you going to re ⚙️ gear? Asking all these as I am looking at all the options for my build. I am going with Method wheels they seem to be the ticket for over landing. Thank you and any reply would help.
No sliders yet.. I’m seriously lacking on those. Dobinsons 677v rear springs to compensate for the weight. Eventually I’ll re gear, it’s driving pretty good on the flat Texas roads with stock gears. Method makes incredible wheels, they have so many color and design options. Solid choice!
Take your rear bumper plastic off and take a bunch of cardboard, cut it in strips and play around with it. Cut, measure, and tape the cardboard until it’s shaped into a rear bumper of your taste. Then, start cutting metal to length and measuring, re measuring, cutting, all of that. It took several dedicated weekends with trials and errors like crazy but it eventually worked.
Panhard bar: it's pronounced PUH-NARD (after the French auto company). Ideally, you should either raise the axle mounting point or lower the frame mounting point to get the bar parallel with the axle (which has the side-effect of centering your wheels). Simply using a longer bar to bring your axle to center when the vehicle is stationary does nothing to fix the altered geometry with a lift while the vehicle is in motion or articulated.
i bought one, brought it home, tried it, bitch started going sideways as im jacking it up, my truck doesn’t have extra weight besides the 33” tires. I returned that shit immediately. Need the heavier beefier one apparently
I can either use a hi lift or a floor jack. I’ve used mine but i only use it when I am not lugging my floor jack around. Purely for trail repairs. I can’t get a bottle jack to lift a wheel without balancing in to blocks which is super sketch and have had a friend almost die doing. Trail repairs are dangerous but it goes floor jack (make sure your pro eagle doesn’t roll on you tho!) > hi lift > bottle jack
It’s sitting comfortable at 3.5” and surprisingly it’s actually comfier than 2.75” like it was before. It blew my mind too. There’s about another 1/2” of height left before the coils are maxed out.
you said you've made through with trails in your SR5 with ATRAC where TRD models could not? TRD's have ATRAC also.... were they stock TRD's or TRD's with equivalent modifications as your SR5? must be driver error
Little bit of both. Some had smaller tires, some didn’t know how to use their equipment. I’ve been wheeling for 10 years now so a lot of it usually falls on the driver.
@@diamondhead203nothing! TRDs are superior to the SR5 I’m not denouncing that. I’m just saying in my case, in my scenarios on the trails, I’ve articulated through obstacles where locked TRDs haven’t been able to get through. I felt like a trail king in those situations.

Love the rear bumper due to its slim profile. All the others I’ve seen is just too fat hence shitty departure angle. Never understood why they don’t make them slimmer
Yeah I feel the same. Nguyen Works makes the lowest profile bumper for these vehicles but I didn’t want to spend several thousand. Sometimes making things yourself is the only way to truly achieve a goal!
I wouldn’t trade the dobinsons for “inspired performance”. At best they are rebranded icons using more budget friendly materials and methods (most likely) and at worst they are Alibaba knockoffs with eibach. You are going from a company who has been doing offroad suspension for like 75 years vs a budget RTT company that said “surprise” we have a full suspension lineup now. A friend actually got in on the 50 percent off and they like it but the dobi’s had the Inspired Performance setup by a solid 6” on the ramp travel index test and that is with the dobi’s setup having 3/4” bump spacers and allowing a slight wheel lift with stock bumps on the inspired performance rigs.
Dobinsons are a phenomenal and renowned brand all the way through. I use their rear springs and will be getting their fronts. I got in on the 50% off from inspired overland and so far, this suspension has held up great. I’ve wheeled it as well, it eats the trails like breakfast. The true test is how long the valves will last before needing a rebuild.
Been there, had one for 7 years. 37s, beadlocks, long arms, front/rear lockers, 4:88 gears, all of that. I loved it but I’ll never look back at a Jeep again
