Ken, glad this video was helpful! If you are sharing your work online, it’s a good idea to copyright it for your protection. You can do single poems or groups. www.copyright.gov

Yes, you can. Once you complete the registration online, it’s a done deal. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to get the physical certificate.

Thank you for this! The issue I had with trying to upload my poetry in the past is KDP was trying to get me to add chapters, but I did not want to create chapters. Also, does printing to KDP not copywright your work automatically?
KDP will copyright for you but I always do it myself using the copyright.gov website.

If you put a little in, selling on Amazon can be good. Make sure your keywords and categories are in there. Use social media and/or your website to drive people out to Amazon to buy.

Hello there! It may be robbery but that's how it works if you list your book on Amazon. Which is why it shouldn't be the only way to sell your book. Amazon is great to accumulate traction and reviews. However, selling your book on your own website is the way to retain all your money. You have your book printed with an online or local printer and then sell your book on your site. If you only sell from Amazon you're doing yourself a disservice. Thank you for your comment!

Hi there Anissha. I would do them in groups, as you can group 10 together at at time, if you're doing a full book.

@@Annabee399 You have enough poems to do a chapbook (which will have less than 40 or so poems) or a full collection. If you weren't trying to do either of these and just get a copyright on your poems, then you can do that through the copyright office in groups of ten.

Hello there. I don't know that much about Draft 2 Digital. I know they don't charge anything to format but will keep 10 percent of your sale which is lower than standard. I would encourage you to do your research/comparison with Amazon KDP and Ingram Spark to determine what's going to be best for you.

Yes. Those printing costs are worked in that you pay.

Hello Zack! After you click send, it is typically reviewed and published within 24-72 hours. Amazon will inform you if any changes need to be made, and then when it actually publishes.

An anthology is a collection of selected writings by various authors within the same genre. Whereas a chapbook is by one author that is less than 50 pages. I hope that helps!

What if you published a book already but want to put it on Amazon?
You would just create an account on Amazon and upload all your files (manuscript, book cover) and then it will be available. They will print and ship once someone orders.

Hello! There are no set amount of pages that a poetry book should have. However, I would say that anything less than 50 pages can be considered a chapbook. And chapbooks can be as little as 10 pages. This is a quick way to get your work published.

Tree Gee, With pricing any of my books, I always research other books within the same genre that are also around the same size. This gives me a good foundation for how I'm going to price my books. As far as audio books, I will doing an audio version for my upcoming poetry book.

Hello there! You set up an account with Amazon KDP and will enter your PayPal information. Once you make sales, you'll get paid that PayPal account.

Jenny, I think that 5 X 8 is a great size for chapbooks, especially if you're 40 pages or under.

Jenny, What I typically do is use the standard application for a completed manuscript. That way you're not doing one at a time which can costly. However, if you have a dozen or so poems for example, you can make them a small collection and copyright those.
