Brilliant - this worked without issue!! Thanks a million! done in a few minutes, I used a hair dryer - the tape was an issue and broke half way and I had to "pick' the leftover off with a finger (annoying) but did not damage anything on the metal plate, is charging currently and cross fingers I am back on line!

You can buy a new glue seal from eBay for a couple of pounds/dollars. Phone will not be waterproof if you do not replace the glue seal.
