    I love your sense of humor and your positivity. I was diagnosed in early February with a cancerous tumor in my rectum. I have had the CT and MRI scans, port surgery and ileostomy surgery. Will have my 3rd round of IV chemo this Wednesday. I also am documenting my journey on my YT channel. I was recommended your channel so have watched a few of the videos from the beginning of your journey. It is nice to have found a channel of someone else going through somewhat the same thing so thank you for sharing what you're going through. I am glad you are doing well and good luck with finding the reason for your pain and hopefully a solution soon. I am going to continue watching your videos to catch up to now. Prayers to you. 💞🙏

    • @billrogersburp
      @billrogersburp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jenny. I'm delighted you have found my vlogs helpful. I just watched your latest video to see how you are doing. Sounds like you are getting to grips with the bag. That's good. I actually found mine pretty easy to cope with and quickly hot back to a normal diet and a routine of changing it every day. I know some people go several days without changing but the only times I had a leak was when it was more than a day old. I haven't seen what Stage your cancer was and the prognosis but hopefully you will be cured and live a long and happy cancer-free life. Even if you don't get a reversal, life with a bag is not terrible. It's so much more efficient than the normal way of going to the loo! We are poorly designed really 🤣. Anyway, of course it's horrible to have cancer and the treatment can be rough at times, but keep positive. Sending you a big virtual hug 🤗❤️

    • @jenny_rice
      @jenny_rice ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@billrogersburp Thank you! Yeah, I don't mind the bag too much. It's just the changing of it and sometimes having skin irritation/itchiness under the sticky part. Maybe I'm sensitive to this brand and need a different one. It's a learning experience, that's for sure. ☺

    • @billrogersburp
      @billrogersburp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jenny_rice One thing I've found with my channel Jenny is that people always tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing/eating/drinking/taking etc. Everyone is different of course and what works for some doen't forothers. I had a spray called 'Protect' which was in the same size cannister as the glue remover stuff. If ever I felt a bit sore around the skin, I sprayed Protect on first, let it dry completely and then stuck the bag on.

    Hi Bill I hope so much that all can be sorted soon so you can get back to just enjoying life fully again. It's been a rough ride for you... Does this mean,red wine is back on the menu or still a no go?!!!!!! 😂. I am sure the biopsy will be fine but best they double check and be on the safe side Bill. Look after yourself and thank you for updates. Love x❤🙏💩💩💩

      Hi Kris. Well I probably won't go for the wine for a while. I'll be sensible and introduce new things to the diet gradually. Trouble is sometimes something I think is OK causes a problem next time. It was good to know there was nothing obvious in the endoscopy though. Thanks again Kris. Love to you and the fam 😊❤️x

    • @billrogersburp
      @billrogersburp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the tip. At a glance it looks like it is an alternative diet for treating cancer. But I am cancer-free now and have finished all my treatment, radiotherapy, chemo and surgery. Many of the recommended things to eat and drink in the Gerson diet would play havoc with my bowels. I would never get off the loo! So whilst it may work for some, it would not be right for me. Again, though, thank you for the advice

    Well Bill. I subscribed and was just listening to sun's out. I was enjoying your free and honest delivery.....then I heard the bit about your joy in having a reversal and the the comments about the bloke eith 2 a##e holes. As I went on a long journey to have a dose of radioactive juice as the first stage on the road to getting an ostomy(don't know which one yet) I think you just wiped out any confidence I had tried to rally. Not your fault but I set off terrified snd I have 4 more days to do. Think I may need to unsubscibe for now. I can't hold liquid in for 10 seconds never mind 10 minutes. I wish you well in your journey but not safe for me at the moment x

      @billrogersburp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh Nancy! I'm sorry you have lost confidence. Everyone is different though. I think I have been quite unlucky with the hitches along the ay in my own journey. When I had complications after surgey I was in a small percentage that it happens to. Most people are perfectly fine. Don't listen to a silly old duffer like me! Best wishes to you Nancy! When you come through this with ease come back on here and cheer us all up with your success story! ❤️x

    If I'm not mistaken, too much pure water can cause an imbalance in the electrolytes; perhaps mix the water with apple juice or some other fruit juice.
