Watching this video, I keep remembering when I was a cyclist, I dreamed of becoming a professional bike mechanic, but I never became one. At that time, there were no such technologies as they are now, and this fascinates me very much. Beautiful build. :)))
Great build, but as pro mechanic I wish things are that simple: hoses that does not get stucked, TLR tires that fits painless, eletronics that syncs on the first attempt. The real world is far, far way different.
I’d love to get his off the record review of the performance on this build versus his S5……. no way on earth that would be public knowledge #sponsorcorrect but someone with WT power and results experience on both would love to know the differences between the two.
Wrong, the geometry and aerodynamics are different for every brand, they follow a concept and performs differently, obviously at this point the gains are marginal and for normal people it wouldn't feel any different, for instance compare time trial bikes where some concepts are more aggresive than others, etc.@@american_psycho1147
There are elements of difference in each super bike. Degrees of stiffness in the rear, response in turning etc. the most important element will be the rider. That’s the engine of the bike. But, the little things that are about the bike, mean a lot to pro riders.
I'd like to know what pro mechanics do when installing a brand new chain on a build like this? Do they strip off the factory grease first or use it as is?? Because as I recall from the Friction Facts test, factory grease results in marginal losses.
@@TeamStealth_Official the factory lube is fantastic in one sense: it's very very durable. If your preference is for maximizing efficiency, then going to a different lube is a good idea. But that's not everyone's goal.
I was a Shimano diehard for about 30 years. I went with SRAM on a bike about 5 years ago. Now, all three of my bikes have SRAM. I am now in the cult. I have become what I always hated. LOL!
Now try to adjust the hight or the angle of the steerer. Or replace a cable. Or change gear after some days of riding in hilly terrain. Modern bikes suck. Well anyway, let's hope Roglic can be a serious contender in the Tour and take the win this year. Then when can focus on other races that are more fun.
@@toast198about general look of derailleurs. Cranks are ok (especially carbon arms > better than Shimano frogged ALU), hoods quite ok (I love Sram shift style - one lever on a side) but these derailleurs...
No, they didn't. That was either user error, or poor set up by the team. MTB teams use 1x and very rarely drop chains, and they go over rocks, roots, drop offs.......

So relaxing !! A thing of Beauty. 🥰
i learned a lot for watching a real pro building a bike. Thank you :)
You have a pro bike?
That is one beautiful engineered machine, greak job!
Even more awesome than the bike itself is the background (the wall)...my godness😍
Crazy good wall 😮
and that is why they cost us so much. we pay out the nose so that the teams have fleets of sworks frames
Awesome video, looking forward to seeing Primma in action on the S Works.
Beautiful! ❤
Great mechanic, René! 😎
Super Video!👍🏻
Beautiful
Cool Build! Are you going to do one for the TT bike? Wonder if there is going to be any special touches for the ITT gold Medalist there.
That was awesome to see wow what a machine
chain catcher sneaking in on the front derailleur lol. I get it haha. I run a red 56/43 front chainring setup and a chain catcher saves the day
Mechanically Lovely!!!
Nice. Thanks 👍🏼
What a machine!

NOIIIICEE!

new sram RED AXS 2024?
@@Ghostina1 I don't have 2024, what's the news? Exists?

Do you know perhaps what is the purple paste ge used when he installed the bottom bracket cups?
Very nice
That chimney tho…
The steerer tube buldge simply does not please my eye. 🤷
I’m with you and I actually checked Roglic’s IG and he’s riding that bike on that way 🤷♂️
Stunning bike
Good looking spare bike
Very cool bicycle
Nnnnnice, MUSIC CHOISE BAAAAAAAAAD
Love SRAM Red.
Tres Bien Dude!!
Lovely 👍🇮🇪💂
love it
Very cool choice of music
Oh he transferred to Bora from Jumbo? Good for him
What rock have you been hiding under?

Great job by the mechanic. Very nice video. Could you share with us the rear casette ratio on Primoz’s bike? Thanks.
Looks like a 10-33

Nice bike 😍😍

I doubt there's much difference at all. They key component is man in the saddle.
@@Enigma71559probably right but i think the bikes will feel a bit different.
There's basically no difference between a top of the line race bike anymore. They're all the same, only the riders are different

Hammerhead slides in? Interesting.
redbull : hold my bike.
Good God...
how much time had you taken to learn this?
Hey 👋! What's that blue tool used to grind the fork tube?
It's a deburring tool. Any decent hardware shop should have it.
Primoz will use Hammerhead Karoo 2?
Steel is real
Cheers
What grease is used in headset and BB? Thanks
It'd also be very interested. Seems like a very sticky one!?
Assembly Paste pro - Dynamic Bike Care
When are we getting updated Red groupo...?
Whenever they clear out existing Red inventory
Ist'n das de Rene Obst ??
And where is the bike of Demi Vollering?

yes they strip the factory grease off, after that they wax it or use their own grease. the factory grease is mostly to protect it from rusting. greets

No custom paintjob for Primoz???
Hi, is that a size 52 or 54 frame? Thanks for the answer.
I have the same questions, as he is 177.
Looks like 52 cm, size S. He used a Cervélo 51cm and Bianchi 53 cm, booth size S @
At 2:44 you can see is a 52
As a professional mechanic. The chain not being waxed is fucking criminal
How much is the weight ?
Roglic no longer with Jumbo Visma.. wow
even van Aert and Vingegaard no longer with jumbo Visma
Nice top cap lol
special carbon layup for team Bora Team?
When is the next sram red?
No crank spinning test, no freehub sound check, no weight shown?
What a painstaking process. And this is just ONE bike.
Nice work, what was that bottom bracket ?
Guarantee it wasn't an overweight, overpriced, hambini BB
SRAM's own BSA-threaded DUB BB.
it's our DUB BSA BB with ceramic bearings. You can tell it's ceramic bc the dust shield is red.
Does anybody know the name of that sexy purple grease?
What kind of bike stand is that?
Feedback sports sprint.
Not the montage stand, I mean the stand at the end of the movie, the presenter stand
Specialized still making those seatpost clamp bolts out of cheese.
52 or 54cm frame?
It's a 52, Primoz likes small frames!
At 2:44 you can see size and frame weight
sz of the frame pls
Why zipp lockring rotor?
climbing gears eh ;)
why is everything sram but the pedals shimano
Should have saw the headtube of correctly
Crank length?
170
Knew it,Specialized can’t leave any incoming riders bike position alone smh
Don’t choke up on your torque wrench. The effektive torque applied will be higher than indicated on the scale

6,6 without pedals and bottle cages is Dura ace. Maybe SRAM Red is less
