And also letting us switch party members in the menu itself.

I know Pyoro is an extremely credible leaker and all, and this might be me just coping, but I have high doubts this time. Especially with Genki being extremely public about their Switch 2 accessories, saying that's they're open to share anything, I doubt they'd do this without asking Nintendo first.
He is a very accurate leaker but it’s abundantly clear that he doesn’t know EVERYTHING that comes in and out of Nintendo. There is a chance something happens soon, since there’s apparently some kind of meeting on the 11th if I recall correctly.
I know in the past I’ve been skeptical of Pyoro given the June Direct and his slowed down activity, and I still am, but Pyoro leaking Xenoblade news this week makes more sense than it doesn’t. The fact they (presumably) leaked a Xenoblade X reveal through the eyes emoji on Twitter would imply they’re privy to Xenoblade X news in general more than knowing anything for the Switch 2. We don’t know Pyoro’s current sources, so it could be eShop backend or some insider source, but I’d very much assume Xenoblade X news would travel in much different circles than a Switch 2 reveal trailer or a full blown presentation. All that said, I’ll believe any news happening when I see it. And to your point, yeah, they could reveal Switch 2 the same week as Donkey Kong or Xenoblade news. I very much doubt the former, since they rarely have announcements the same week as a release. Not impossible to happen, given Emio was the same week as the Indie World/Partner Showcase, but it’s less likely, regardless of what the title is. Xenoblade news is more possible just because they can schedule multiple different announcements for the same week, not sure how often they’ve done that, however. It really depends how much they value not overshadowing any given reveal or release. Also, one last thing- I’m not a Xenoblade person, but if we get an announcement this week for new Xenoblade X story content, that’s cool and I’m happy for you and any Xenoblade fans.
I think most people agree games are more exciting than hardware. The Switch 2 will happen and soon, but Nintendo needs to promoted Xenoblade and I really want to see what changes they bring to X Definitive Edition
The Switch 2 will probably be revealed on January 8th 2025. Rumours say the console will have a 9 in the launch title and that could be Mario Kart 9. It could launch with 32 tracks and no crossover characters and get DLC packs, adding crossover characters and double up the tracks to 48. It’s weird that the Blue Falcon is in the series but Captain Falcon isn’t. So why don’t they come in form of the DLC? I want them to ditch the metal characters, Cat Peach, Tanooki Mario, Peachette, the Blooper Item and Coin Item, make the Koopalings alts for Bowser Jr., the baby characters alt’s for each other, Dry Bowser an alt for Bowser, bring the Fake Item Box, Mega Mushroom, Pow Block, Super Leaf and the Ice Flower back, add commentary as the Arcade GP series has it, bring Mission Mode back as it was supposed to return in Wii and add Professor E. Gadd since he was going to be in DS, and by October, we could get Super Mario Journey. By March 2026, we could get a new 3D Kirby game, possibly a sequel to Forgotten Land. We could get to see playable Elfilin and Clawroline for the first time and they could bring back the Dream Palace Allies as well. Halfway through 2026, we could get Splatoon 4 and Pikmin 5, considering a 3 year gap between Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4, by September, we could get a new Zelda game, considering a 2 year gap between Breath of the Wild, Link’s Awakening remake and Skyward Sword HD, and by the end of the year, we could get Super Smash Bros. Legends and hopefully they’ll ditch World of Light, bring Subspace Emissary back and update the movesets of some characters. We could get Super Mario Maker 3, Luigi’s Mansion 4, Super Mario Galaxy 3 and a successor to Super Mario Party Jamboree by 2027 as it’s been 5 years since we had Super Mario Maker 2 and Luigi’s Mansion 3. They could add a Mario Wonder game style to Super Mario Maker 3 so 3D World isn’t just the extra game style and they could bring the Amiibo costumes and the Weird Mushroom back, for Luigi’s Mansion 4, the game could be in an Airbnb and we might get to see Luigi save Daisy for the first time in the series and for the successor to Jamboree, everyone from the previous Mario Party entries could return like how everyone returned for Smash Ultimate. By 2028, we could get a new Paper Mario game, considering a 4 year gap between The Origami King and the TTYD remake. I hope the console sells well and has 4K and 60 FPS. I probably won’t get it day one, or maybe not at all. I might wait for Smash Legends to be announced and then get the console with Mario Kart and get other games later on.

I want to see how they streamline Xenoblade X DE. Hopefully we can change party members from the menu. This was particularly frustrating when you’re looking for a specific character but they are not in their “usual” spot due to an affinity change, so now those characters will be wandering around New LA in a new heart-to-heart location. Tatsu’s follow ball should allow us to track them. (I recall Bose standing directly under the Church bell which can only be accessed with a skell.) There is no reason to waste people’s time looking for party members. In XC2, your unequipped blades could be seen hanging out in Garfont village. Equipping those blades from the menu would remove them from the map. That’s how it should work in X.
I don't know about yall, but my expectations are properly in check! No reveal until February, hardware comparable to base PS4 (definitely not PS4 Pro or Series S), no OLED screen, $450 price, and still uses friend codes & the terrible current eShop... 😂 And if they surpass any of those expectations, I'll be thrilled! But for now, I'm keep low expectations.
Are you SURE it's "not a simple remaster" and will have tons of new content? Because I don't think that's true at all. I think it's not even close to what qualifies as a "remaster," and instead, it's an enhanced *PORT.* You know, like countless other Wii U "DE" ports.
As a HUGE Xenoblade fan, I’m not gonna beat around the bush and say X is by far the most disappointing entry of the 4. And in my humble opinion they should’ve waited to release it next year on the Switch 2 where it can actually try to sell well. If the Mario games aren’t selling like they should then a much nicher title def aint gonna sell that well.
Well as another xenoblade fan who loves all the games, the numbered series hasn't even come close to X in terms of world, exploration, and side quests. Playing 2 and 3 after X makes them feel like they came out 10 years earlier
@ I HEAVILY disagree. The worlds in the numbered games have way more going for them than X’s world. X has only town, everything else is baren with nothing to do, the way story is set up just breaks up the pace cause in order to even advance the story you must do the two following every single time: take on at least one side quest and suvey insert continet to at x percentage, all of which for the most predictible story of the games(saw the traitor coming the moment I saw him as well). It’s just really a slog of gameplay loop with meh payoff story wise. With the other games you get the whole package.

I was saying that the scale of the world design and the movement are leagues above the other games. Even now, playing X and then playing any of the switch games, X feels way more modern and impressive somehow. It has plenty of flaws but hopefully the definitive edition sorts at least a few of them out

But in X there is at least one side quest, treasure, or tyrant in every section of the map (not just one usually), with caves and landmarks absolutely everywhere. I could just run around aimlessly for hours without getting bored, not to mention the actual side quests and stuff to do. I agree the story is lackluster in comparison, but everyone knows that. That's not what we play X for. Cause imo, X is better in basically every way apart from story/characters. Although, there's a ton of actual plot threads that are there left unresolved that have a toooonn of potential for a stronger story more along the lines of gears/saga either for the extra story or for a sequel.
I trust NextHandheld, who actually has a retail copy of the Switch 2/Joy-Cons, rather than Pyoro (who just has “sources” of the Switch 2) at this point!

You know if Nintendo does do a Mini Direct then I would like to see them show a two-pack collection of both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot so then we would have all the Modern Kirby games in one console and not having a HD remake for Kirby Planet Robobot that Nate The Hate said about a HD remake of Kirby Planet Robobot which is fake because why would you wanna leave Kirby Triple Deluxe? And I’m also not gonna buy it unless they fix this problem by making it into a two pack collection for both Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot before we move on to Switch 2, and then they can show a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it, and then adding some more NSO Games like Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. Wario Land 1, Wario Land 2, Wario Land 4, Donkey Kong 64, and Diddy Kong Racing so I hope we do get a Mini Nintendo Direct this year before we move on to Switch 2.
Call me crazy, but i doubt anyone claiming to have a source about the switch 2 reveal would be telling the truth (or alternatively their source is just making it up). This is nintendo who by all means have been incredibly tight lipped about this so far. And also have numerous numerous jokes on the sheer infamy on their "ninjas". My point is. Any actual credible information in regards to when the Switch 2 would be officially revealed would likely only come about from a datamine lile the pokemon one. Hardware and what not are in factories not under nintendos direct supervision, hence why things can easily slip through the cracks. And I’m also not gonna buy it unless they fix this problem by making it into a two pack collection for both Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot before we move on to Switch 2, and then they can show a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it, and then adding some more NSO Games like Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. Wario Land 1, Wario Land 2, Wario Land 4, Donkey Kong 64, and Diddy Kong Racing so I hope we do get a Mini Nintendo Direct this year before we move on to Switch 2.
I just want Metroid Prime 2 and 3. Now I’m afraid that those titles will be held for th switch 2 in order to incentivize the purchase of th switch 2.
Call me crazy, but i doubt anyone claiming to have a source about the switch 2 reveal would be telling the truth (or alternatively their source is just making it up). This is nintendo who by all means have been incredibly tight lipped about this so far. And also have numerous numerous jokes on the sheer infamy on their "ninjas".
My point is. Any actual credible information in regards to when the Switch 2 would be officially revealed would likely only come about from a datamine lile the pokemon one.
Hardware and what not are in factories not under nintendos direct supervision, hence why things can easily slip through the cracks. I mean how many of the leaks have been from chinese or other non nintendo sources?

I think the only ones in denial are you guys. Nintendo said before the fiscal year ends which is March 31, they wouldn’t have gave such a vague timeframe if they were going to reveal it sooner rather than later. They’re going to reveal it by then you just have to be patient
