The Real Madrid fans have been too harsh on Gareth Bale over the years (especially now), he has helped them win four Champions Leagues since signing back in 2013. A return to England could be likely next season, I'm sure there will be many clubs interested (Man City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea).

As a madrid fan myself I feel really sorry for Gareth who has been booed this season by the fans in the stadium. He was never booed before despite him getting injured time and again but in those times that didn't affect the team performances as much as it is doing this season as some players ,mostly isco, would step up in his absence. Medias were also not against him before this season. Now that the big man(cr7) has gone everybody were expecting Gareth to fill his boots now that he was in the spotlight but that has not been the case so far. Club's poor run coinciding with the poor form of Gareth also didn't help the case.There are a few other factors too including him not speaking Spanish which some people in spain unfortunately consider as an insult towards their country and their language. It's only natural for fans to get frustrated after seeing the best club in Europe play so poor but that does not mean it's always right to aim their frustrations at the players by booing them. As a madrid fan who has never been to the bernabeu but has been following them everyday I really feel sad when I hear some sections of the bernabeu whistling our own players. I wish they stopped doing that. Atleast not that frequent and have a little patience. I really hope Gareth leaves madrid in good terms with everybody, fans, board and teammates. One thing is certain, he and his CL final overhead kick goal will be remembered forever by Madrid fans. He will always be a Real Madrid legend.

As a madridista, I feel like most of us don't really get to see this side of Bale, he's such a nice guy and a really good football player, but I still most fans don't have that connection with him like they do with other players cause we don't get to know more about his persona, it's obviously his personality, but I feel like we need more of him! As a madridista I hate when they boo players, when they are going through rough patches it's when they need the fans to be there for them and have their back, I do hope Bale knows how much most of us appreciate him, he will forever be in Real Madrid's history!

It's a shame the situation he's in now. A wonderful player, very down to earth the way he talked through this video and specially how he talked about the media made problems with Ronaldo without even being asked. Such a nice guy. I hope that injuries leave him alone and that he either finds his best form and consistency in Madrid. If not then I hope he makes a transition that allow him to start a new successful chapter. He can be so frustrating to watch on the pitch sometimes, especially this season for us (not that many players were any better lol), but the man is hugely misunderstood. Spanish press is basically the Sun on steroids every single day of the week, it's awful. He's a big game player no doubt and I want him to rediscover his best with us and prove doubters wrong again. With Zizou back, he has a real chance to challenge for a regular starting point as the team's focal point.

I've always had a love for Bale... will always be my second favourite player of all time, second to Messi. Entertainment value is sublime... and after winning the Champions League 4 times, scoring the winner in 2 of them, and still being boo'd by his own fans, he still has such a down to earth and modest attitude. He will go down as not only one of the greatest footballers of his generation, but one of the greatest professionals to ever grace the game. I'll never forget, not even being a spurs fan, but going well out of my way every week to make sure I never missed a moment of him playing. I even got to see him play against Scotland at Hampden, i was way more excited to see him play than Scotland. Unfortunately he went off at half time with a stomach bug. The only thing I can say that tops that was seeing Ronaldinho playing for Barcelona. Only thing that could top both is when I eventually get to see Messi.
