I know the feeling too and by the time I was playing OoT as a wee child, we already had games like Mario Sunshine and The Simpsons Hit and Run to name a few. It really speaks to how well crafted Kokiri Forest is with the music and atmosphere and level design that it could captivate me despite much more advanced and open games being around. Granted, those were able to wow me just as much, but it's still impressive just how fun that one area is.

There is a mod that removes the need for the bottom screen. By that I mean the mod moves your hearts, rupee count, and even brings the menu when you hit start all to the top screen. I believe its the full controller support mod, which also puts the touch pad items to the D-Pad. Edit: I came back to this video because I wanted to figure out what that mod was, and I cannot seem to find it anymore. Majoras Mask 3D has one called the Restoration mod, which includes the controller support mod, but I cannot find the one for OOT.

I was born in 93 and when this game came out my mom bought it and played it after she got home from work every day. No matter how hard and straight up cold the world gets, there’s always a handful of things from your past that never seem to lose their magic. For me, that was watching my mom play Zelda. Even now that opening screen music evokes something in me that I can’t quite describe.
I got it... had to have been some time shortly after it came out, because I remember a year or two later getting Majora's Mask for getting straight A's in school for a year. And it seriously was. Going from the SNES and Sega to THIS was mind-blowing. Rolling across Hyrule Field was incredible, and finding out the game went between child and adult forms was like, "HOW MUCH CONTENT DOES THIS HAVE?!" I beat it two or three times, eventually actually got everything in the game. And then Majora's Mask came out. Whoo BOY, video games don't feel like that anymore. I remember taking that when I went between my parent's houses every weekend. No way I was going without my N64 and Majora's Mask, even if I didn't get to play it for more than a couple hours.
The ghost-guy says "If I looked as good as you, I could run a different kind of business, heh heh heh..." This most likely just means because he's a freaky ghost-man he has to run a freaky ghost-business and not, say, a regular shop.
The first vod uploads i watched through in its entirety was of the ocarina of time 3D master quest streams back in like 2014. Nice to see Vinny play through it again on his Official New Nintendo 4K 3DS Deluxe Edition. Shame Nintendo never fixed the stuttering and keyboard issues though.

This looks pretty well done. Back in the day, I imagined the graphics to be like that. In the end the original N64 version aged quite poorly thb. So this is a nice upgrade. OOT still screams for a remake, build from the ground up. High textures can't hide certain limitations from the original engine. Nintendo please do it.

Tf2 Zelda maps were such a strangely wonderful thing.
Vinny actually sounds pretty natural reading the games dialogue. Most youtubers make it sound fake, but he gives it natural inflections when reading.
Once he finishes this, he'll need to do Majoras Mask 3d in 4K with Project Restoration on Citra.

This looks pretty well done. Back in the day, I imagined the graphics to be like that. In the end the original N64 version aged quite poorly thb. So this is a nice upgrade.
OOT still screams for a remake, build from the ground up. High textures can't hide certain limitations from the original engine. Nintendo please do it.
