She was telling me about how he was signing all the stickers and cards, so I asked her if anybody was with them when he signed these…. She said no we were just at his apartment by ourselves. So he easily could’ve had someone sign them if he wanted to. We’re talking about a 1st round draft pick. So the whole “panini guarantees this auto” is the biggest bs lmfao they don’t guarantee shit. These guys are all signing with nobody from panini around. Panini sends these guys sticker sheets and cards to sign and they sign them in there apartment while playing Fortnite drinking beers, nobody around. And some cases they’re having other people sign for them.
@@MickeysBeltthere is a really big difference between guaranteeing and witnessing. The latter would be a lie, but the former could be satisfied with a replacement card.
I pc the Steelers and noticed at least three very different looking signatures on the DeMarvin Leal rookie autos, and this was across three completely different products, none of which were even Prizm. This seems like it could be more of an issue than we may have thought. I feel like it’s possible some athletes may be getting family members, friends, managers, etc. to sign for them.
The fake auto thing is huge. I think the card companies are going to need to change things to ensure that the players are the one's signing these cards. Also, they will need to make it right if this turns out to be true. Otherwise, I see a lawsuit coming. Glad to see you are hosting some great events at the store. Cheers!
As someone who would work with UpperDeck i would get the cards (or stickers) meet with the player and usually a manager or pr person and watch him sign. On jerseys i would take photos of the player putting on several jerseys to then verify that it was player worn. Letters of attestation and photos to verify signing was legit. This was even done with what you might consider pretty low players or older former players. You may wish to check and see if procedures have changed for panini and topps.
I know a place run the MLB and he has three signatures. Signs one with full name, another with full name and adds his number and a third where he just signs his initials.
He’s right about Prizm being so delayed. Prizm coming out midway through the season eliminates a lot of the fun for me. Everyone knew Wemby was going to be a star but, no one knew Podiemski (?) from tye warriors would become a player. Part of the fun of collecting cards is having a card you thought wasn’t going to be worth much blowing up.
Not sure how much PSA can be trusted either though. An autograph I have and I know who did it and is 100% legit, PSA and Beckett claim it has been doctored. The auto is from the 1990's by a lesser known golfer. No one would forge, or doctor, the autograph in question. I have all the provenance to know it is 100% legit. PSA and Beckett are not 100% trustworthy either.
All Auto cards need to be signed in front of reps for the Card company and filmed. After each Autograph hold it up to the video front and back. It is easy to stop forgeries by timestamped video evidence. The cards can NEVER leave the card Rep’s control either. No one else even in the room.
First big question I had, and I just got through the intro, is are we sure these cards were pulled from actual packs that were put together by Panini? Or were these cards that got purchased from somebody online as a single card? Also, I could honestly see someone's autograph being a little bit different if one is 5 inches long on a jersey and the other is 2 inches long on a card. So the scale may affect how some people make their signatures. Also, I think we need to start questioning PSA. Stop putting so much trust and faith into them. They take up to two years to send their cards back sometimes and they are very very inconsistent. And constantly make shipping/order mistakes.

Autographs change in time. And it could be in a very short period of time. Mine changed tremendously when I started signing off on paperwork for a job.

@@joesmith-es1zy thanks for the info. Appreciate it. I just got back into selling cars after 33 years of not selling cards and collecting pull me a CJ Stroud silver in the first pack. Actually it was a blaster box. The first blaster box of Panini football I've ever bought in my life. Third pack out of the six packs pop that CJ shroud just sold it for $275 fine I didn't get it. I should have got it graded. I didn't get it graded cuz I needed the money quick
You need to bring back the actual physical cards and display them in front of you guys while your doing the show like you used to in the old studio. 😂😂😂
Great shout out by T-Pot for JxmyHigh Roller putting out the best Basketball data. I'm not even a huge basketball fan and his videos rock!
Cant believe they are not mentioning Junior Caminero for mlb prospect lol
Did Mr Beast just walk by..😮😮😮
Why don’t they just ask the signer?
They should get more than their money back. They need to be sued for selling fake autos.
Dang, I love the Kevin Hart on the cards. I want one for sure
Xaiver worthy has like 10 different autos on his cards id be surprised if they all were his.
This is why I refuse to buy Prizm products all together. Whether it’s this or the extremely poor hit rate and value degradation, I don’t see a plus in investing into this product.
Panini should go back to just making stickers.
Its 2024 you set up a laptop tell playrrs ro turn it on whrn thry sign the cards. Boom done
Sometimes people get lazy with their autographs, I know I do sometimes when I sign things. Also, if you're going to fake something, you'd make it look at least believable, making it look as similar as possible to the real thing. I think players are just tired of signing these mountain stacks of cards and just go to the simplest form they can, or they could have been drunk at the time. Lol
Autographs change in time. And it could be in a very short period of time. Mine changed tremendously when I started signing off on paperwork for a job.
No one's aurograph changes the way DTR looks, that's absolutely rediculous.
This would not be the first time an athlete has had family members or friends sign autographs for him on cards. They send sheets of stickers to them to sign and there's usually no one to witness it from the company.
Panini should sue the player for massive damage
a $5.00 card becomes a $5,000 card ??? ... gee ... i wonder why i didn't think of it ????
😂😂😂if youve been in the hobby since the 90s you'd remember the same thing happened with fleer at the end. Alot of early 2000s fleer autos they wont authenticate either. Seems to be a running theme getting fake autos ftom these companies when theyre hoing under.
Reputation. Goes farther than just the autos. Companies Reputation. Lots of scamming going on nowadays. Terrible, just terrible for many different aspects.
