- In a show of might, Poland has paraded its military hardware on the streets of Warsaw. The 'Armed Forces Day' parade traditionally celebrates Poland's victory over Bolshevik forces in the 1920 Battle of Warsaw. But with this year's parade the government was hoping to send another signal.

Don't count Romania. All we can do is hope for a good corps of professional soldiers that will not act like in Afrika if the 'special' interest groups ring the bell like they had in 1989 (mostly in 1990) in order to undermine the revolution. Romania currently is a stick's throw away from becoming either like Hungary, unstable Bulgaria, or finally start reversing very bad decisions started for more than 15 years ago. And a good navy is a bad investment while sandwiched between Russia and Turkey's large navy.
