  • This video is a look at Douglas Station, an elevated light rail station on the Green Line, part of the LA Rail System.
As it was with the Redondo Beach Station, we look around at the station, the platform, the entrance, and try to get a good look at the station for historic purposes, as the station was closed a few months ago in preparation for the new Crenshaw/LAX Line. I figured that they might've done renovations to these stations, like updating the classic signage/naming from the classic gray/line color signs to the generic and kinda dull Black BG-White text, to maybe extending the platform so that 3-train cars can properly fit. While I haven't gone to check (the Green Line is pretty damn far from where I live), I thought I should record what the stations looked like before this closure, to give people a sort of look back to what it used to look like. Tried the new format of Line Bullet/Station name, hopefully its not too intrusive.
These videos were inspired by bitoftheday's uploads (A great source of retro footage of the LA Metro Rail trains dating back as early as the mid 90's, so I want to document these stations for people in the future who are curious of what they looked like in this era), and the subwaynut (a website dedicated to pictures of train systems around the US, with major focus on the NYC Subway)
Dont forget the video is in 1080P and 60FPS, hope you enjoy and check back for the continuation of the closed stations + more rail videos (here and there, i know ive been slacking with uploads and given youtubes dumb algorithm of only showing subscribers videos from the more active users/click the bell, i havent gotten many views).
