And this is what happens when you don't preserve a locomotive. This is how most steam locomotive classes went extinct. We consider them plain outdated. We don't consider future generations. This is the importance of preservation.
@@RRansomSmith Even the original Pacific Electric trains Red and Yellow cars that used to run in Los Angeles are preserved at the same museum as the P865.
Nippon sharyo in the philippines still operate till this day but it soon it will be replaced with a brand new one... Edit: I might be wrong so feel free to correct in the comments 🙂
Actually wrong there are 5 being sold on the Internet. 1 at the Railway museum in Perris California and 12 still left in the yard as of August 2019. Not scrapped yet. Stating 2017 4 cars per Month? Any idea
We miss ya man
same he might have passed away or something
Rip P865!
The P3010s actually began service on the Gold Line first on March 5, 2016 and the Green Line last around November of 2017
A moment that will live forever. You said it before!
That early car was a mock-up.
To test out the basics of operating the car and get a feel for the design.
50:47 The R32s just retired on January 9th, 2022. It’s a shame that the P865 & P2020 didn’t get a proper send off which I think they should have.
i know that

I am aware
I miss the days when the blue line was ran only by the p865 and p2020’s. I don’t like how they added the p2000’s and kinkisharyos to the fleet.
oh well they will always be remembered
anyway i wonder how much longer. Metro will keep the p2000's
just a thought from another metro fan.
Metro Sheep Productions next year
Probably Another decade or so since they were built between 1996-2003. Since the metro nippon Sharyo has been in service for 29 years.
@@ramonsmediablog The P2000's are newer than the P2020's by one year.
Hotters 7060 Oh really, interesting! 🤔
Hotters 7060 Yeah around that time period! Wonder how long the p2000s will be kept in service same as the Metro Gold Line P2550 Rail Cars?
crazy seeing them on the green line
Jasper Valentine will not upload anymore... this is the last farewell!😢

You know they also used the P865 in Captain Marvel. At Vernon stations on the Blue Line
I hope a P2020 companies 144
3:25 I like that design metro should’ve went with that instead of the yellow jacket scheme
I think the original scheme was patriotic with a twist.
The red line wasn't even a thought when this line was proposed in the mid 80s.
I remember the red scheme I think metro let it stay for a couple of years before changing it back but it was fun riding it as a kid
4:22 The middle section is widely open unlike now its closer
44:17-I hear a Siemens P2000 in the background.
Should’ve kept that nice paint job! 😔
Nice video do This for the upcoming red line.
Question on Washington station the train yard there metro built in 1989? That’s where the pacific Electric ran
Metro should have kept the pacific Electric paint job!
I grew up telling my mom I was gonna drive em one day
What’s going to happen to the 12 remaining cars at the Long Beach car lot?
In the ending of the video is it the city of Bakersfield or somewhere else?

1 other museum has one so there are 2 preserved. Cars 100 and 144.
144 is the one at SCRM.
Rick Traveler Smith car 100 is the one that Long Beach was taking in, am I correct?
Jasper Where'd you go?
This is from 2022
