Following the previous Kaikado manufacturing process video, here finally comes the interview with the sixth generation of the Kyoto tea caddy company Kaikado -- Takahiro Yagi (八木隆裕), a well informed and incredibly intelligent man who is determined to bring this old family business to another century to come.
Having been around for almost one and a half-century, through all the ups and downs including the WWII and the economy booming in Japan, Kaikado has never changed the way of making their iconic tea caddy, and the unwavering persistence on pure handcraft from A to Z.
