    The Secrets of Business?
Being at the Right Place at the Right Time.
    Hoping that your face fits.
If it does, then that's the first step.
Being a hard working and loyal Employee doesn't mean instant promotion and recognition.
It's all about your image and how you come across to others.
How you talk and how confident you are will determine your fate.
Above all, having a humble and transparent character will keep your feet on the ground.
And remember you can say NO sometimes. Believe in yourself, because no one else will do that for you. Good Luck my friends.

I agree with most of it, except that I believe you do need to put it in the hard-yards, if you’re not, then the likelihood of you ending up at the right place at the right time is pretty slim. Strategically networking also goes a long way. You’d be surprised how contacts in business will help you more than your own family and friends when you need a hand

@@njper123Absolutely agree, people tend to say 'right place at the right time' , they unknowingly are validating the victim mindset. They would say: "being at the right place and right time is pure luck, nothing I can do, it must be fate, out of my control duh duh."
No escaping the grind, if it takes 9/10 right place at the wrong time to get that 1/10 right place at the right time, then so be it. Trusting the process, and doing the right things over again, over the long term you'll get results. Forget the short term. Same thing in Poker, approaching women etc...

I'd be interested to know if you have a business and how successful that business is because without wanting to be in any way rude, this isn't accurate and doesn't sound like the advice of someone who's in business. The secret of business is the will to succeed no matter what because so much of running a business is failure, things going wrong, constant change, uncertainty, unexpected difficulties, unforeseen events etc. This is why 90% of businesses fail within the first three years of starting. To succeed, a business owner needs vision, they need to deliver something more compelling than their competitors' product or service while being profitable, they need to be able to sell, negotiate, lead, manage, troubleshoot, analyse, influence. Your face fitting and image really aren't relevant. Those are external perceptions that a person has little control over and they are subjective. A good business owner focuses entirely on what they can control.
