This was the most epic part of the game. It felt badass desperately fighting off powerful heartless with nothing but a stick and your badass sole companion, Beast while this song was playing. They were in the ultimate underdog situation with the odds stacked against them but they still kept pushing and saved their girls in the end.
@blickeroni: SO TRUE. It just had this immensely satisfying feeling to it to have these advanced Heartless like the Darkball and Defenders get MAULED by Beast while Sora has a wooden sword that barley affects them. Like you said, loved the Underdog feel to it.
This music is truly amazing it gives such a state of urgency and desperation showing to the player its time to fight for the sake of not sora's world but everyone's worlds, its also brilliant hearing this because it gives a great sense of growth from the player and how far they and Sora have come theres no going back now.
@@danielburch824 i mean they were meant to, this was a final end game area, the rest was just a hub area, makes sense they're not as sinister and have a bit of a more whimsical feel to them.

From what I heard while playing the Kingdom hearts games Sora was never meant to get the Kingdom key keyblade but apparently Riku was when I played bbs. So in kh1 Riku was sorta right when he said Sora was the delivery boy. But that changed in the entrance hall before fighting Riku. I think the keyblade knew its real chosen welder was Sora after all
like young xehanort said: the keyblade just moved down the list, if riku wasn't pure enough to wield it, sora was the second option, since he actually learned how to use it alone
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565 that wasn't entirely true though. riku took it from sora after falling almost completely. sora basically forced the keyblade to go back to him via sheer willpower. and friendship.
I always wondered if i was the only one that got that feel when this specific music came on. Always wrecked up everything on that world when that music started playing.
Getting the Keyblade back was pretty much what makes this theme feel so triumphant to me. It feels like Sora's pumping himself up over the fact that he can now get back at the Heartless that gave him so much shit at the beginning of the world.
This is the point when this game looks, feel and act like a Final Fantasy. Also the beggining of the game is like Final Fantasy X in FFX Tidus came from a city to an island, in KH 1 is the same but in the opposite way, Sora came from an island to a city
These two games came out not that far away from each other actually, so it's very easy to believe that the thought process was still on FFX when they were making this.
This was the best area of the game. Always looked forward to coming here. And let's not forget the single hardest boss in KH1 and 2, side quest bosses notwithstanding.
Remember when Kingdom Hearts was just about a kid teaming up with Disney characters to stop an evil villain from enshrouding the world in darkness and nothing else?
I will never forgive Hollow Bastion for the hours of indescribable pain I got from having to use the lift stop to find my way to a room that had a chest of dogs so I could get areoga just to go to a room with no handle bars, falling down and having to do it all over just to get to the room I was looking for only to realize the chest was in a different room.
