    I tell you... When I and my girl saw him in San Diego, right as he played start of Bennie and the jets, I never heard such applause and screaming! I too was a part of it. It was honestly the best part of the concert for me; for all his fans to just yell for him in unison. I yelled out every song at the first piano chord and sang along to them all. My voice was shot.

    I caught his farewell concert in Memphis last night, and I sure got my money's worth. Who would've thought that a bunch of guys in their 70s can rock just as hard (Elton included) as a band full of 20-somethings. God bless you Elton, for a great show!

    Thank you Christian sharing the complete Concert. I saw you on the FB of Elton John mentioning this. When I see him in Houston, I hope each of these songs will be sung especially Indian Sunset. Glad you and your Mom enjoyed this experience. This will be my 9 and 10 shows through the years starting in 1986 at The Houston Summit.

      Glenn G I can almost guarantee that when you see him again, he’ll do the same exact setlist... He hasn’t changed it even a little bit between shows... But yes, we had a great time! By the end of 2019, I’ll have seen Elton eight or nine times... All on this tour! 😂

    saw him in Fresno, Jan 19 2019. my first impression when I saw his face was that this was the face of a great composer, like Handel, Bach, or Mozart, he just has that genius look. he then proceeded to rip it up on every song for about 2 1/2 hours. he really is a fantastic pianist, especially when he plays straight up rock and roll. another highlight was Ray Cooper, one of the greatest percussionists of all time, and who weaves a spell of magic to every track. even him and Elton, just the two of them together, sounds as huge as a symphony!!

      No problem, Dylan! To me, it is a crime that Elton doesn’t have at least one song from The Lion King in the setlist for this farewell tour being that so many of his younger fans have discovered him *because* of that movie! Would love to see him do “Sixty Years On” too! :)

      @@TheChristian0515 Nice! I don't think I'd see Elton on this tour again (or ever because it's his last haha). It's the same show. That's the incentive to see Billy over and over as you and I have: he plays a similar, but not identical set every time. So there's always some surprise. Elton's show this time: you see it once you've seen it. Not that it's a bad thing. For a goodbye tour, it's actually a good thing. It's just something that I personally wouldn't do, but I don't have anything against it haha 😉

    • @callmeerrol
      @callmeerrol 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was there on the 9 th as well! It looks like we were sitting in the same basic area you were for this show. The rain on the 9th! Yikes!
      Seeing him again, for the 9 th time (since he and I were much younger) in NJ in March.
      And although EJ is my favorite, I have to admit that one of the Billy Joel shows I have seen, last September, with Paul Simon and Miley Cyrus as guests, is the most entertaining concert I have been to (or at least remember, since I saw EJ in 1976, but can’t remember much!).

    You really should have bought better seats. looks like you got the one's for 500 bucks each.

    • @TheChristian0515
      @TheChristian0515  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I personally think that floor seats are ridiculously overpriced and in most cases, it’s simply not worth the extra money to me... As it was, these seats cost me nearly $600... Even *that* was more than I wanted to spend on one show but I was more than happy with the seats for what they were...
      Keep in mind, I also wanted to buy single tickets to all of Elton’s other MSG and Barclays Center shows (eight shows in total) so between all of those, I easily spent thousands... Not to mention all the other shows I’ve seen this year! Billy Joel at MSG six times, Phil Collins, Paul Simon, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Peter Cetera, Ringo Starr...
      I’d much rather spend loads of money getting decent seats to multiple shows like I’ve *been* doing than spending all that money on just one show... I’ve been on the floor before at MSG and I actually had *terrific* seats for Elton’s 4th MSG show, which I paid more for... But I can’t honestly that I enjoy the show any less from the higher sections... As long as I’m there, I’m good 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @dosenwurst101
      @dosenwurst101 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheChristian0515 The Tickets in the US, especially in Madison Square Garden are ridiculously overpriced. I've paid 160€ about 175-180 Dollars for my floor seat, row 15 in front of the Piano in Bremen, Germany. Even this is way too expensive. 2016 at Wonderful Crazy Night Tour I've paid 160€ for 4th row in front of the Piano. Same Seats are about 450-500€ now. Anyway, I need to go to that final Tour. I need to see 'my Man' one last time in concert, and I know I will cry a river when he finally leaves the Stage.

    • @josephsnearline2022
      @josephsnearline2022 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can’t believe someone would have the nerve to criticize the seats you got. I’ve been lucky enough to see two shows at MSG. The first was Billy Joel in March 2014. The second was to see Elton in October 2018. In both cases, I considered myself fortunate just to be there.
      FYI, the PEEX app has audio recordings of all the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road shows (including this one) for $19.99 per show. It’s a fun app because it lets you customize the mix.

      My husband and I have been to at least 25 Elton concerts. I don't know what you are watching, but it most certainly NOT the same thing in every concert and never once has he ever been "boring". He has been amazing, incredible, fantastic, phenomenal and mind-blowing, but never boring. If you don't enjoy it, stay home so another fan can get these coveted seats on his last tour ever.
