In univeristy I lived in a sketchy apartment building where someone got murdered and the fire alarms went off weekly because of some issue in the boiler room. Then I moved into an old lady's home and house sat/rented while she was across the country. Now I finally live in "my" place and it is such a relief! I don't have to worry about how long I can stay, and there is space for all my things, and it really feels like a home!
It's so frustrating when people feel the need to insert their opinions where they aren't needed! It's your life Kiara, live it how you want and don't listen to those bozos

It just happened quickly. I didn't think someone could save up so much money ($1500+ rent and $1500+ utilities?) so quickly. That's what caught me off guard. I thought she moved to her parents house to save money, but she saved it pretty quick so I guess.she just makes a fuck ton of money :/ good for her though I wish I was as lucky. I wish I could get some money as quickly 🤣

When I moved to my first condo after university, I wasn’t “picky” at all, barely thought about anything and basically signed the first building I looked at. Once my lease was up I was SO EAGER to get out of there because of all these seemingly minor details I overlooked, and literally moved right after my lease ended. I didn’t really have the experience of knowing what things I wanted, deal breakers etc. in a condo. For my next place, I was very specific with what I wanted, and prioritized certain layouts, door types, storage etc. If you have the luxury of time to look at a bunch of places like Kiara, take your time and BE “PICKY”!!!! Think about how your life might change and what you might need in the future (ie space for WFH, space for a partner etc. - obviously you can’t plan for everything but being “picky” can also equal being thoughtful). And in the long run, it’s much cheaper to stay in a place for a few years rather than moving every year so being “thoughtful” now can save a lot of time and money in the future!! And also like why wouldn’t you want the best possible place for yourself if you can find it?!? Settling doesn’t always make rent cheaper, and there are definitely some things worth paying extra for! Especially with COVID, you spend so much time in your home - invest if you can ☺️💕

It is good to be reasonably picky when apartment hunting (if you can)! After all it's your home and you have to feel comfortable there! Plus apartment hunting and moving is so time, money and nerves consuming... to save myself from moving again soon (plus if other circumstances wouldn't make me having to move), I would also be picky! (Excuse my english, I'm from Germany and was struggeling a bit to find the right words this time )
I totally get it!!! After living somewhere you love you will always compare it to that place, so you may as well be picky and ensure you’re happy with where you are going to live. Liking where you’re going to live is extremely important.
Kiara, I currently doing my role transition right now in the ICU at a hospital where I am hoping to land a job if everything goes well and I pass the NCLEX. I am super nervous to take it as I am not good at those types of tests and always end up second guessing myself and changing my answers so your study tips have been super helpful. Thank you for the videos and taking us along on your journey it has been wonderful to see another person so excited about the nursing profession and how they approach things. You seem like a sweet person and I’m rooting for you 100% not only in nursing but life in general!

I live in an Avalon apartment complex in Washington and it’s a very good choice! All their layouts and amenities are pretty much the same across all the states. I hope it works out and you find the perfect apartment! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

There’s so much thought that goes into looking at every place, and I get wanting to find a great apartment that you can make your real “home”, that’s the best part at the end of the day! This shouldn't be a make or break thing but just so you know, in apartment 2 you said you could put your entry table on the right of the door as you walk in (or on the left if you're facing the door) but then you probably wouldn't be able to open the dishwasher depending on the size of the table. Just something to think about. I just got a co-op (so basically a full time job, my school has a weird program) that I'm really excited about and I get to move back home for the semester and spend a lot more time with my high school friends that I haven't see in forever. I can't wait for this semester to end just so that one can begin. I hope you find an apartment you love, love you and your content!

You honestly have EVERY right to be particular about what you’re looking for in an apartment! It’s your hard earned money and your time that goes into paying for that apartment. Settle for nothing less than what you want! Rentals in my area literally run $1200+ (NOT including utilities) so you better believe at those rates I’m getting what I want LOL.

It is hard! Glad I took the rest of the night off after reading all the harsh comments...I know most of those people don't actually watch my videos so it just makes me all the more grateful for genuine people who know who I am and watch all my videos.
I left home at 16, and have moved 7 times since - and will move for the 8th (and hopefully final) time this April. Sometimes you outgrow people, but you can outgrow places too. Moving is exhausting, and to suggest you’d only do it for a vlog is ignorant! Move until you find a place that feels like home! And however many places it takes to get there, is absolutely okay (:

I like the 3rd apartment kitchen the best but the 2nd apartment view and layout are also great. If it were more than one person living there I would say 3rd apartment makes more sense…that added space would be necessary. But right now it’s just you and apartment 2 is perfect. The walk in closet is amazing. You already pictured where everything would go and that’s a good sign 👍🏻

You honestly have EVERY right to be particular about what you’re looking for in an apartment! It’s your hard earned money and your time that goes into paying for that apartment. Settle for nothing less than what you want! Rentals in my area literally run $1200+ (NOT including utilities) so you better believe at those rates I’m getting what I want LOL.

I left home at 16, and have moved 7 times since - and will move for the 8th (and hopefully final) time this April. Sometimes you outgrow people, but you can outgrow places too. Moving is exhausting, and to suggest you’d only do it for a vlog is ignorant! Move until you find a place that feels like home! And however many places it takes to get there, is absolutely okay (:

I like the 3rd apartment kitchen the best but the 2nd apartment view and layout are also great. If it were more than one person living there I would say 3rd apartment makes more sense…that added space would be necessary. But right now it’s just you and apartment 2 is perfect. The walk in closet is amazing. You already pictured where everything would go and that’s a good sign 👍🏻

Good luck with your apartment hunt hope you find the right place. It can feel claustrophobic moving back in with your parents as i have had to do. I'm from Ireland there is a rental crisis here at the moment and even the tiniest place costs a fortune! Hoping to save deposit for my own place while at home but not the easiest!
