Some of these depictions are absolutely horrible. Song of the South, the Jungle Book, Aristocats, Dumbo with a literal Jim Crow... But... Some don't seem anywhere nearly as bad, at the same time. The Aladdin one doesn't actually seem that racist -- that's more so historic accuracy I would think. There have been a number of barbaric practices throughout history, a great many of them used by white people, but also from other races and ethnicities about the same, especially when you think on the time period. 1001 Arabian Nights is roughly about the time the story of Aladdin became well known, but Aladdin itself is a story told to be "a long time ago", so take however many thousand years ago 1001 Arabian Nights was, and subtract another thousand or a few. Certainly, Arabian powers had a golden age of sorts around 900 CE. They were actually among the least barbaric and most enlightened societies of the time. But Aladdin isn't supposed to be dated around 900 CE. It's dated at least a thousand years before that, and probably several thousand -- harkening back to the time of Persia or even Babylon. Great kingdoms in their own right, but comparatively more barbaric. That line about the cutthroat attitude is reminiscent of ancient Babylonian justice, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth", or "you take from me, I take from you", which is a comparatively barbaric ethic when faced with the tenets of Islam, and then even more so before modern society.

And people always telling others to "get over it" instead of learning about racism and how wrong it is even for disney to put it in his films. Like Warner bros and mgm. That's the problem with a lot of yall. You just quick to say forget about racism it was in the past. And then not realizing it still exist today. Stop crying
Don't forget how the ALWAYS kill of or emasculate strong Black man Superheros, unless they're powerless or get their power for a "white man" ie. War Machine, and Falcon
Yep, spot on. 👍
Do you know who else wasn't middle eastern in Aladdin? Aladdin...read the original text, he is supposed to be Chinese.
Mostly right, but making yourself a Victim never made yourself Victorious.
Ok so riddle me this
What are you gonna do about movie made almost 30 to 40 even 50 years ago
Get rid of them. No because there classics and yes there can be racism but like I said there classics so stop being a snowflake and enjoy the movies.
Exactly!
ok saltine
Why did you click, watch, and comment on the video if you don't care about racism in Disney films?
This guy is FIRE!
Sure the std kind maybe
No one:
When he thinks he is funny
Wow I thought tyt were bad
Can't handle the truth?
I think you need to know what racism actually is. Stereotypes are not rasim.
Talked about all but the henious mentality of princess syndrome or "Rich gets girls" ideas implanting in kids mind.
Thanks TRT it is good information
Nobody’s going to say snow bells age gap with the prince
I totalty agree with you
bruh the bander logs were literally based on italians.. did this fool forget baloo literally speaks the same way louis does? this whole vid be a broken record
I swear that up to half of the video I thought this was a joke. What a cry baby
yet here you are crying about it lmfao
That's your response to examples of actual racism? No wonder you people are unlikable.
@@Meurth like what examples?
@@adrianopinaffo So you didn't watch it, how unsurprising.
Of course I did. But that was so silly that I didn’t think you would seriously consider them
This video made me just laugh I'm happy me as a black man dont need to care at all about this. Looking for problems instead of enjoying those old movies like i did when i was i kid. I'm so happy i was born outside the American circus.
Oh give it a rest! Jasmine was played by a non Middle Eastern actress? So what? I BET you either kept incredibly silent, or applauded, when a black actress played Anne Boleyn recently! All the woke mob said “so what!?”
So I ask you the same.
Genuinely, why is it ok one way around, and not the other?
i hate that you speak so low and the music covers your voice
I noticed that!!!! All of them are in white
I love the songs "What made the red man red", "When I see an elephant fly", and "Everybody wants to be a cat" and I will continue to love them. They are good songs. The reason that people are showing backlash to these movies is because they don't want to see them changed.

How to “answer for past transgressions” when the OG racist Walt D. Is Dead?
Okay you can say got about the Walt Disney Company but how about the WWE and its past where bad news Brown shows up at one of the wrestlemanias and he is a black man no less and Rowdy Roddy Piper who is a white guy has his body painted half-black because Vince McMahon wanted him and found it so funny
An organisation deep rooted in racism and several other issues will take time to change
Racism is in all colonial power nations!!! I wont change!
An aussie cartoonist depicted Serena Williams playing Naomi Osaka like slavery era cartoons as black people!!!
Without colonial influence you would be stuck in a mud hut married to your cousin, instead of enjoying TH-cam on your smartphone.

Are you going to do a video on the dhimmi? That would be awesome!
you say disney is racist but they bought marvel and marvel did black panther but because disney owns marvel , they make black panther movie and they wouldnt
do this movie if they were racist
One movie does not a non-discriminatory company make. And there are arguments that Black Panther does indeed employ racial stereotypes that aren't immediately obvious to the casual viewer.
And its said by the channel who represent the most racist country in the world

Of course don't mate. Youre uneducated is all.

This was eye opening and funny too.
I lost it when he talked about kisses.
And I also like the suggestion to free subscriptions for minorities. 😂
Edit:guys, I know discrimination is bad. But it's a joke ironical to Disney. Come on! Did you even watch the video.
No that's not fair. They should have free subscriptions for everyone. Not just minoritys.

Again people are blaming stuff that was perfectly acceptable many years ago it was 1920 everyone was racist
The whole point is to make sure that we ALL accept that it's not acceptable NOW. Plenty of people will use old media from times when their bigotry was socially acceptable to justify being discriminatory in the present day.
Victimization
Allahu Akbar Allah is the greatest
The original Aladdin was set in West China, not Southwest Asia.
Well said.
I don't know
Disney has had to make 2 audiences happy at 1 time for a long time.
