- Hi guys! Today I’m sharing my grocery shopping routine and how I disinfect and wash all of my produce, also what I meal prepped this week for breakfast. These are super easy breakfast recipes that are perfect for grab and go breakfast and also toddler friendly! Oatmeal Cinnamon Apple muffins
Ingredients
2 small apples
A squeeze of Lemon juice
1 cup of oats
1 1/4C flour
3/4C brown sugar
1 1/2t baking powder
1/2t cinnamon
1/2t salt
1/2t baking soda
3/4C milk for soaking
1/4C milk extra
1/4C ghee
1 Whisked egg
1t vanilla
Crumble
3TFlour
1T Brown Sugar
1/2t cinnamon
1TButter
Preheat the oven at 375°. Start by soaking your oatmeal with 3/4 cup of milk, let that soak for at least 30 minutes if you’re using steel cut oats, if you’re using regular rolled oats you can skip the soaking part. Peel and chop apples and then add a little bit of lemon juice to prevent them from browning. In a bowl combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, baking powder. After the oats have soaked in the milk for 30 minutes add the whisked egg vanilla extract, the remaining 1/4 of a cup of milk, ghee and mix. Slowly start adding the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix slowly. Once fully combined add your mixture into your greased muffin tins, top with chopped apples, and finish off with the crumble. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cheesy cauliflower egg bites
Ingredients
6-7 eggs
1C cheddar
1/2C half and half
4 bacon strips
2C cauliflower
Preheat your oven to 375° F. Cook bacon until crispy. Blend all ingredients together except the bacon and reserve some of the cheese too. Pour egg mixture into greased or lined muffin tins. Bake at 375 for 20 to 25 minutes. If you want your eggs softer than cover them lightly with aluminum foil.

Just read how soaking fruits/ vegetables with Dawn is toxic. I saw a lot of other people mentioned this too! Just want to make sure you and your family are staying safe 👍

Warm water mixed with baking soda or salt and soaked for 10-15 mins is the best thing to wash and it’s non toxic too
Apple cider vinegar works well and it’s non toxic! Thanks for responding and congrats 🎊
I use bronners hemp pure Castile soap. Or look into some Thieves fruit wash. Those are more gentle, organic and get the job done. 😊👍🏼💕
I always use apple cider vinegar if that may help.

these muffins are so delicious! eating one now fresh from the oven 😋 my 2 yr old loves them too 🥰 I didn’t soak my rolled oats so I used a total of 3/4 C. milk in recipe and replaced ghee with melted butter, they came out perfect. thank you for sharing!

Omg. Liz. I do the same thing with all my groceries. It's a job and a half. I gave no one to help me when I return from Costco. I'm my kitchen for hours cleaning each and everyone of my items. It's a lot of work. But it needs to get done. You're such an amaz cook. Baker and all rounder.

Awesome recipes and I need that air fryer ASAP!! I clean my produce with ACV and water and it’s keeps everything fresher longer
Please dont use soap on produce, alternatives are hot water soak and wash or wipe down with food grade peroxide
Great video. I would suggest removing the stickers before washing for two reasons, bacteria can hide behind them and it's easier when they're not wet. They become a pain when gummy lol!! I hope everyone is safe a well.

I have always disinfected my groceries😂. I just think of it like this....How many hands/people have actually touched these items before u actually get them home..
So before Covid19 I already made this a habbit. ..😍🙏
Me too, pre-Covid 19. I once saw a grocery worker throwing bags of frozen vegetable on the ground to make them flat enough to stack "neatly" in the freezer. I was undone!! I've ALWAYS cleaned anything that comes into my house, food or otherwise :).
Hi how do you get your groceries wiped down and also what do you use..??? We are a medium size family and it's hard to keep up with all the wiping down...I will paranoid for a very long time....but seriously here in Australia we can't wipe down our yoghurt as the paper comes off so I don't know what to do..also what if that dish disinfectant gets absorbed into the cardboard and transferred into our food..it's not good for us????? Please help

Liz if you toast the peppercorns in a pan before you put them into your shakers it gives the pepper SO much more flavor!

In hour home back in Mexico we do the same thing.. im reading about the soap, and im open as you to better options... btw we rinse pretty good all the produce, and if we order some delivery food we change the conteiners and put in our owns... to avoid contact with any paper or disposable material... just to be extra safe.. regards from Nayarit, México 🇲🇽

I love egg bites and make them often but not made them with Cauliflower, I'm definitely going to try them as well as those muffins...they look so good 😍

Still catching up (I have got to turn on the bell). First, let me just say that you are my favorite vlogger at the moment. I wanted to let you know. Second, your cooking and household hacks are my favorite type of video from you (and the travel vlogs from a few years ago when you went to London and Paris actually made me subscribe after casually watching your vids here and there). I will definitely be incorporating that blender hack. Sometimes it is hard cleaning the blender lol. Your hack seems easy. Thanks! Third, I want to try cauliflower in my egg muffins. I usually use spinach. Fourth, Sebastian is so freaking cute saying "thank you mama." Fifth, I love the way you disinfect your groceries. I wipe everything down and even do a quick dunk of nonporous produce in a big bowl of a solution that I make and wipe with a clean cloth. Love the scrubby gloves. Oh and your hubby is awesome for doing the dishes! I hate doing dishes lol.
Loved the video as always! I’m considered high risk so my husband does all the grocery shopping and I do all the disinfecting.
