What kind of bikes are those I need a bike that can handle big jumps..my Walmart bike lasted 2 years...I don't want anything above $500 or $1000 I have a $600 road bike...so I could maybe go up to $600...any suggestions!?

from the research I have done these types of bikes run into the thousands, the common number I hear is 3000 for a serious mountain bike like they are using I have seen prices as high as 5000 ormore. to me this is just way beyond most peoples pay grade or even more bike then most mountain bikers would ever need, these people who go down mountains like this are either professional, crazy, or getting paid alot of money or own bike shops or something else. most sane bikers would never do this.
