In 2003 : there is big rivalry between teams and players
    [Most in IND vs PAK]
In 2023 : there is no rivalry between teams and players
That's why ODI cricket is getting monotonous

The suggestion is really great, as the game actually becomes boring from 15th to 40th over. This will eliminate that middle phase. Also i think, only one ball must be used so that there will be balance between bat and ball.

Reviving the ODI format is critical given the numerous lopsided games in the first quarter of the tournament (12 of 48 matches). Firstly, having one ball for the entire innings would not just help the spinners but also bring reverse swing back. Secondly, designing sporting wickets and allowing upto 6 fielders outside of the 30-yard circle in the powerplay would help restore parity between bat and ball.

Stop playing ODI.. Only Test & T20 can develop cricket globally. One is for player 2nd is for Audience Because we don't have time at 8-9 hours for ODI matches.

Cricket till 2007 was worthy and interesting game to watch. When this t20 stuff came. It work like slow poison till this day. Cricket as game is going to fail one day. T20 has its own beauty but same style of playing came in odi or test cricket with flat pitches. Nothing for bowler. Batsman is just hitting and hitting boundaries and giving highest total on the board in most of the game.
Foundation of real cricket which is test cricket has been undervalued. Dts y I wonder how virat kohli is great modern days batsman. Most of his centuries cames in when india is chasing a target and that is where dew factor comes to play. Ball come to bat easily. Run flow easily with boundaries and sixes.
Virat kohli and babar azam hasn't face deadly spell of reverse swing what sachin tendulkar or others legendary batsman had faced in thier time.
So this format need to be revive. Make it balance.

Odi has speed of T20 and beauty of depth of test cricket. Without ODI cricket looses the beauty of stamina. It looses the opportunity a player get to become great.

If you kill ODI people will stop caring of the stats of most number of centuries list and stuff. Lets be honest nobody sits and watches every ball of a test match for 5 days. Odi is till my favourite format. In T-20 the hype and craze of fans seeing personal milestones will be lost forever. A T20 century is very rare and only openers will be able to get it, not the lower order batsman. I'll stop watching cricket if ODI becomes extinct.

Admit or not, Odi is boring. Just see the World Cup stands 😴
Nobody wants to sit for 9 hours for a probable one-sided match!

@@ansarkhokharr Rules can be changed to make it more interesting and less one sided. T20 WC win is irrelevant. Nobody cares about T20 WC winners.

@@PankajKumar6493 Oh really? What ind vs pak 2007 final? What about eng vs wi 2016 final? And so on, the point is that we already have a much more energetic and fast-paced game that is not too long like Odi(9h) and not too short, like T10(1.5h), T20 is just the sweet spot, and if people like you don't accept the reality and like to stuck in past than soon this game will be in the history book of humans! T20 saved the game back in early 2000, remember!
T20 World Cup is held after 2 years, which is just Icc's foolishness, which is why it may seem irrelevant, 2024 wc has 20 teams which will give the real WC vibes to the world, not like 8 or 10 teams playing for 100000 years and calling it a a "World Cup"

Odi cricket will die soon. Mark my words. Odi cricket is very much boring now. People are bored with world cup matches due to 50 over format. No one cares whichever team wins the world cup.

Old format was good. First 15 overs powerplay.. now openers try to save wks in the 1st powerplay bcoz it is just 10 overs, so it's not worth taking risk bcoz it's just 10 overs. so odi has become boring

I stopped watching cricket in 2008-2009 period; after that, I've tried to watch it multiple times. For me personally, it was boring and not entertaining.
