- ptera still needs more love. we still have to sit quite a lot and huntable prey is so hard to find. beside that we had a good time and even discovered a very nice new place :) the northeast also seems to have a revival ;-)

which one do you mean? fresh spawn babu? or hatchling babu? did any of them changed size? are fresh spawn more tiny now?
@@da.mombie a fresh spawn deino is so tiny now! They can be killed by pteras in a few bites. I can only imagine a hatchling deino is so tiny

That Stego and Tenonto fight was a bit baffling to watch, not going to lie xD I can't tell whether the Stego did something, or the Tenos were just feeling like fighting.
But yeah, Ptera's stamina is egregious. I never minded the new stamina changes, because on every Dinosaur it's a conscious choice whether you want to expend stamina or not... But on Pteranodon you can't chose *not to* use stamina. Both take off variant consume a bunch, getting to an "okay" height takes stamina, and getting it all back takes "years".
It's no fun when flying, as the flying playable, feels like an utter slog.
Loved the video though, a very chill one today
totally agree. ptera needs way more love. specially because it's so tough to find prey anyway. so, you need to cover huge areas. to sit that often that long in between is nothing but boring. they could even double the speed of stam regen in my opinion. which says a lot

I feel one way to help balance it would be to let Ptera regain some stam while gliding, just like the other dinos get for walking.

omnis seem to be more lethal again and even more, there are many of them around

I'm surprised you hadn't found that bunker before! I chilled and grew in there when I was a cera a while back, but it was a bit unfinished you could see through the walls. Ptera def needs more love, they're so rare to see now that I get happy whenever I see one! I wish it had better night vision, but I could forgive that if it had better stam recovery.
yeah, I also wonder how I could miss that so long, I really thought it's new and came along the NE rework so true, the stam is still horrible. it could even easily recover twice as fast and that says it all imo
The amount of dead baby pteras I have to fish out of my lakes and rivers to keep the water from going rancid is staggering. Please teach your children how to fish without drowning. 😛

It's always boring when I'm an adult steg. I would love for that many tenos to attack me. But yes, you are correct that Steg looked like he didn't know what he was doing. He was probably new.

i love the rain in game and the sound of it, so relaxing. it does need some tweaks though. its weird to hear it pouring sometimes and nothing is wet and you can't see the rain haha :)
the effects are really nice and yet it does rain too often imo. I'm a sunshine lad
@@da.mombie Yeah me too. The rain and all is so nice but i hate that it comes so often. Starting as Baby Ptera in Rain is my dead. I think it is too hard to play and too low on stamina. I am never able to grow one right now.

I have been on and off with this game for a few months and this new patch has made this game so much better in my opinion.
I have only played as a herra and am loving the underwater night vision. That being said, are there any dinos you could recommend me? I’ve been a bit too nervous to try others and definitely wouldn’t know where to spawn so any help would be great. 😅
jeez mate, I am the wrong person to ask, as I love them all herra is hilarious to play and not easy to match in terms of fun gameplay. beipi would be a nice dino to explore the waters in a fun way. omni seems pretty strong in this update too. it got a lot more stam to pounce now. omni is best to spawn either at the south plains or directly east plains. it can be difficult to get lipids (two lines), but omni grows even with +50% grow bonus pretty quickly. so, worst case you can go for a great diet instead. there are also many around and easy to group with. but like I said, I could recommend you any of them

Im astonished you managed to find a turtle I havent seen one in months, did they fix their spawn rate or something?
hard to say. I flew over a lot of beaches, but, the only place I found them was at the new beach sanctuary nearby the south plains.
Fg ptera can easily kill fresh spawn deinos. They spawn at 4% now. Also i dont think they made the ptera changes yet. They are upcoming.

That was official, right? Would have had engaged and would have giving that first attacking one some pecks on the head.
yeah, on EU3. I really don't know what happened between them. either that stego was mixpacking with the deinos or that white (they are always suspicious) teno was just a bully I also don't know if stegos gain less weight again, but, it looked like at least 3 tons or so. normally enough to get rid of three tenos. specially at that spot. it didn't seem to be experienced tho. on the other hand, what are you doing at NE as solo inexperienced stego? so, probably it was with the deinos? who knows
@@da.mombie I could not tell from the footage if he was with the Deinos. Quite possible that seeing a stego not attacking small deinos on the spot was the excuse for vigilant tenos, who knows ^^
I personally was accused many times of mixpacking just because I was too chill as stego and kept sitting on the spot. ;)
@@Chareidos some people abuse "mixpacking" as an excuse for their own lame gameplay
@@da.mombie I mean about "mixpacking". Everytime you hang out with someone else of another species, you technically are doing it. But it is not always considered as that.
Just recently I found out from a streamers .vod that one of their utah pack member was pretty jumpy with their conclusion to call me (a stego) to be with ceras as soon as a group of those appeared from a hill behind me.
Thanks to god those ceras did not wait to attack me being distracted by those omnis to correct the wrong impression just seconds later. But man... some are really eager to punish behavior that they perceive.
I did not even noticed them till they attacked me. ^^

some people are just stupid tho. I saw a youtuber who killed a ptera as stego when it landed 5 meter beside of him at a corpse. he said, no mixpacking with me ^^
he went for the cheap kill and presented himself as the good guy. sometimes you wonder

I can't say what happened. some people said the stego could have killed a small teno before. I guess, it was either mixpacking with the little deinos or the white teno was an aggro bully. just because white tenos are always suspicious imo but, we'll probably never know
