@SouthernEmperor And an offensive line is helped when their QB isn't holding onto the ball for long weekends every time he drops back. I have nothing against the dude, but the case scenario for him if he plays year one is a season like what Caleb Williams is having right now.
Drafting a high first round QB with shaky O-line is unhinged. This year’s prospects aren’t generational enough to take that risk. Always build your trenches first. Only 15% of 1st round picks in the last 15 years became franchise QBs. 50% were busts. The rest have been mid. Drafting was and still is a gamble. Very few actually know and even then, they still just got lucky.
Bryce Young, Mac Jones, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, Fields, so many bad Qbs taken the last few years, Kenny Pickett, but Shedeur isn’t a first round pick?
The reality is that NFL scouts have almost no idea when it comes to QBs. They could be right about Shedeur, or they could be completely wrong. This was a dumb take. Shadeur may not be Mahomes. But he is CLEARLY an accurate, smart player - who can also throw the long ball. He killed last year without an O line and this year with a mediocre one. The BYU game was predictable…CU players did not want to be there. If this guy or some NFL scouts don’t like Shadeur because of all the EXTRA - that’s fine - just say that. But let’s not pretend he does not have 1st round talent.
@ I agree with that. But they should just come out and say “We don’t like all the gold chains and flossin’ - and all that extra”. But to pretend his talent is not first-round worthy and for the guy (the “expert”) in this video to act like he doesn’t know that’s what’s going on is lame. Could tell it was personal for him but he tried to hide behind “I’m being told…blah blah blah”.
Sorry but shedeur is going to come in thinking he a star because that how he's been treated in college. I mean face it colorado is the hype school , shedeur will expect things he needs to earn in the league.... does an organization want all that.... shedeur plays in a bad conference that doesn't even put up nfl talents against him, and gets crushed every time they play someone worth noting... Oregon nocked the brakes off of Colorado and would have embarrassed them again if they hadn't left. If shedeur was in the SEC or big ten he would have struggled a lot more.... not sure if he is a first rounder maybe lower in the round.... the only thing he's got going for him is that this year's QB crop isn't as star studed as previous drafts... it'll be a desperate team that needs a qb and his career will be off to a bad start. Travis hunter has a chance to be drafted higher... but his girlfriend situation might put some teams on pause
@@okgotit4103 That’s all the same type of “expert opinions” people gave concerning him when he was at Jackson State. And EVEN if he does not play well in NFL (and he will)…still doesn’t change that he has proven *to-date* he is first-round worthy.
How is he a 1st round talent when he can't read a defense, holds onto the ball forever, takes big hits, loses a ton of yards, doesn't understand down and distance, has to wait foe a guy to be wide open before he throws it, and stat pads? Oh, and then laughs after losing at the bowl game press conference. And missed the first team meeting to go walk a runway dressed as an alphabet hunter.
Love Shedeur but he needs to sit one year. His decision making has been bad at times, he holds the ball too long is the main problem. In the Alamo bowl, Colorado was inside the 10, he tried to get out of a sack and lost 20 yards or so. They ended up missing a 48 yard field goal on the next play. He is very accurate though so that is worthy of a first round pick.

@@dlink6422 I think he'll make it regardless. But it will actually be better for his long-term success if he drops out of the first round. First-rounders are usually expected to start right away, and that almost always hinders their progress because the team usually has a bad offensive line and not great talent in skill positions. Very few rookies are genuinely ready to win out of the gate, and I think Shedeur could benefit from the development of a year on the bench behind some veteran QB.
Teams abuse the 5th year option idea in the hopes they get a guy at QB, instead of drafting a guy for 5 years they probably are sold will be good at another position that will assist whatever QB they have in winning games.
This kid took so many hits due to his o line and he still did a good job protecting the ball. He threw balls into tight windows, had no running game, his only flaw is he doesn't know when to give the play up, a coachable flaw. This is personal
Shedeur is a first round pick now you can argue where in the first. He has great accuracy, poise and, he is deadly when he is on time which is evident in two minute situation. Watch him in go ahead situations, he is great. The issue is when he tries to play outside of himself. Shedeur for two seasons has had to be Superman. He has had no running game and, a shaky line at best and, still produced. I think he would actually be great if he had some resemblance of a running game. Also the scheme does him not favors. It’s not a lot of in breaking routes, not a lot of rub routes, angle routes so, it makes some of his weaknesses even more glaring. Which is why I think he will be a better pro than college player. If he was in a timing offense I believe he would be deadly. At Colorado Shedeur hasn’t been able to play his natural game because so much is on his shoulders so, he forces the issue a lot. I don’t think he will play like that at the next level nor will he have to.

Strong accurate arm, identifies coverage and pressure very well, above average mobility, underrated footwork and pocket presence, doesn’t get rattled by or under pressure.
Shadeur is not the greatest QB prospect of all time but he’s more than certainly a 1st round pick in this class.
Doesn’t not identify pressure well at all. Below average mobility, bad footwork, and terrible pocket presence. Do you watch the games? Or just the post game Instagram stories?

Mahomes was considered a mid player, never a winner in college and turnover prone rd2, Jackson was unable to throw and possibly change position.
First off, the QB is only as good as his F'n line. I'll sit that right there.
Exactly and what he did with an atrocious Oline 2 years in a row is remarkable and he’s played these 2 yrs with serious injuries that they aren’t putting out there yet

And an offensive line is helped when their QB isn't holding onto the ball for long weekends every time he drops back. I have nothing against the dude, but the case scenario for him if he plays year one is a season like what Caleb Williams is having right now.
@ Naw, I don’t believe that. That’s your opinion.
@@SouthernEmperorit's my opinion that he held the ball too long in college? Sure, bud
Any of those QBs you mentioned pan out as a first round pick player yet? Didn't think so.
@briannickel that was his point
The reality is that NFL scouts have almost no idea when it comes to QBs. They could be right about Shedeur, or they could be completely wrong. I think he will make it, at least as a decent starter, but who knows? NFL quarterback is much different than college quarterback, and it's really more about intangibles and discipline once you have a baseline of necessary skills.
And they were all highly touted prospects that were better than shedeur in college fields played in the big10 Shadeuer couldn’t be Nebraska 😂😂

Also there are starting NFL QBs that aren’t great under pressure. You can point out flaws for any QB in the draft. But the notion that he is a 2nd round pick in this year’s draft is diabolical.
dude none of these qbs are besides miamis. if you put them in rg3s draft class they wouldnt go first round thats what he is talking about. think teams are starting to ignore the hype train after being fooled by caleb williams if they looked at any of his games they would have realized he wasnt that good.

I've watched every game of the kid since Jackson State and there's no way you can say he's all hype. His first game as a power 5 QB he set a team record. Once teams figured out his line issues they used that against him and routinely sent more pressure. He's more accurate passer than both Caleb, Ward, and RGIII.
@@elishahbowles "the worst offensive line", not even remotely close to true. The excuses never stop though, just like in the NFL for Fields, Bryce AR5, it's ALWAYS someone else's fault than the black QB
Deep down, most teams don't like the extra. They tend to be distractions a team doesn't need.
@ I agree with that. But they should just come out and say “We don’t like all the gold chains and flossin’ - and all that extra”. But to pretend his talent is not first-round worthy and for the guy (the “expert”) in this video to act like he doesn’t know that’s what’s going on is lame.
The “experts” said he could not play at a power 5 and was only having success because of the level where he was playing at Jackson State. Found out *real quick* that was CAP!
He will be just fine.

You have seen him play against Utah and Colorado st...slightly different then the best in the world
So was Johnny Manziel until he got to the NFL.
Half the qbs? Are those qbs playing BYU? And Kansas? Or are they playing pro football teams? 🤣

@@1DH4TX same height 6' 2 around same body size. Both not great but good athletes. Sanders has stronger arm but playing style is similiar. Quick to get out of the pocket so they can see the field better.
@1DH4TX im a vikings fan so saw all of ponders game. Sanders just reminds me of him
@@nicholasbraxton1342 Hell no, Bridgewater woudn't have gotten embarrassed by BYU
Thanks Rich for letting your guest speak...
I hate to say it, but I agree with the scouts
Why do you hate to say it? His performance on whatever team takes him will speak for him- good or bad.
@lisadavis8909 what I mean is I'm rooting for him, but I don't think he's that great
Look at Lamar! Don't matter where his drafted Shedur will be a Legend n y'all can hate on that.
This is laughable. Dude is going first round I’d be shocked if he didn’t go top 5
That poor performance against BYU in the Alamo Bowl, down 27-0 at one point, really hurt his draft stock
I'd be concerned drafting any pro who had ONE coach his entire life. Don't underestimate how concerning this is to the NFL teams. Who will have Shedeur's ear? Your team's coaches or will it be Deion? I'm guessing it's the latter.
You do realize head coach isn’t the same as position coach, right?
Can you make a more coherent argument?
That is the most dumbest take I have ever heard. And you must not know Shedure has had a different OL coach his entire college career besides his father as his coach. SMH 😂😂
@@Ladylewis222 I find that hard to believe given the circles you run in... I'd be concerned drafting any pro who had ONE coach his entire life. @@NickCagerthat’s why you are where you are and not a GM, scout or owner because your logic is nonsensical😂😂😂
Too many teams need a qb he’s definitely going in 1st round
I agree, Shedeur doesn't have NFL QB mindset. He is not a leader. Like previous highly touted 1st rd picks Manziel, Rosen, Jay Cutler & Dwayne Haskins. They all had talent but also red flags, just like Shedeur. Baker didn't have the mindset but to his credit, did grow into it. Deion was one of the greatest NFL players ever, but he didn't have the personality to be a QB. Narcissistic personality traits don't generally lead to success at this position. Rodgers did get one chip (he should have way more) only because he might be the 2nd most talented (not 2nd best) QB of all-time.
You sound more narcissistic by this nonsense you've written than anyone who's actually followed Shadeur would ever accuse him of. Your types are the worst. Manufacture lies to justify your hate of a young man you don't know.
Shedeur isn’t 1st round material but Anthony Richardson was? 🤣 GTFOH
Lmfao Like we supposed to belive he ain't no good... Yeah Okay 😂
Shedeur isn’t as good as Quinn Ewers and *Quinn might not even enter the draft this year* because he’s not viewed as a special QB. At some point, the hype has to match the production.
How is he not? Quinn was trash behind one of best lines in college
Lol Quinn Ewers throws the most interceptable ball I’ve seen in college in a while. He will lose Texas the game and his players around him win the games.
Is Ewers going to be ahead of Manning on next year’s Texas depth chart?
@ no he is going to transfer. Someone will pay him 6-10 mil
Big facts
Don’t believe that foolish
He's a train wreck ready to happen
So it begins 🤣 the ol racist Draft roll out. Pump up the low tier white QB from middle of no where and downgrade the obvious good black QBs 😭 I was waiting for this time of year
Must have missed that while they declared a black QB was generational last year... Or while 6 black QBs have been selected in the top 8 over the last two drafts.
Two things
1. These “scouts” at the end of the day don’t know anything
2. I agree with the “scouts” when it comes to Sanders not being a first round grade
What does this mean? Every player in the nfl has been going through a scouting process since they were in middle or high school. They got to where they are based on scouting
They dont know anything but yet you agreed with them🤣
@@1StayBl3ss exactly
@@1StayBl3ss you guys are slow and completely missed the joke… it means at the end of the day none of us know how any of these players will pan out. It’s all a guess
what a clown lmfao shedeur sanders not a first round worthy choice but bums like anthony richardson, trey lance, were worthy of top 5 picks. this dude is a clown
This guy is wrong
