For someone who’s grown up in a penal colony, your amazing use of the English language is far superior that 95% of those that still reside here in the motherland (those whose great great grandparents never got caught). I often laugh out loud with your innuendos and smut talk. You sir are a wordsmith with great wisdom in engineering and I thank you for your hilarious input into the mad world we live in at the moment. @@RealHooksy I wasn’t talking to you? Iwas talking to John. If you read my comment, and read the reply from the person that I was talking to, you’d understand. But obviously not. You had to reply to something that has nothing to do with you? So if you’re an economic refugee, good on you. If you don’t get the tongue in cheek statement that I made, I feel for you. My comment was directed to John. He got it. Read his reply. If you’re so delicate, don’t go on social media. When I want to direct something towards you, I will tag you in it. Until then grow a thicker skin and wait until someone says something to you. I don’t know you personally, so I can’t really say anything to you. In many regions, it is illegal for automotive operators to put the vehicle into neutral because the vehicle becomes a potential projectile that is not being controlled. The same is true for a towed camper that cannot contain any occupants, in Canada at least. If for some reason the hitch between the vehicle and the camper becomes broken, the camper could become an uncontrolled projectile with a random destination of death. That would suck dude!

I dig the irony of an environmentally sensitive cement company, given that cement production is incredibly environmentally damaging. A bit like the tobacco companies adding filters to their cancer sticks. What will you say when LFP batteries are standard? Zeekr’s new Golden battery has apparently been subjected to 8hrs at -45C, then the heat of 1000C, and it still worked when replaced in the car. 500km range in 15 minutes, too.

Question please JC about the Bluetti Power Stations.
Any chance you could please put up a video of a portable petrol generator charging up the Bluetti power station with 240 AC?
Another channel (Homesteading Uncontained) put up a video in the last week where they tried to charge a different brand lithium battery power station with their generator & the power station wouldn’t accept charge from it.
Something about the output from the generator not being “clean enough” (correct hertz, watts or voltage or some such).🤷‍♂️
So they went out and bought a new fancy sine wave petrol generator & the power station wouldn’t accept the charge from that either.
I’m looking at buying a Bluetti 200 to help extend the run time on my Companion 75 litre portable fridge freezer which has its on 48 AH lithium battery inbuilt, but only runs the fridge for 16 hours-ish, so a Bluetti in the back seat would extend my run time out to a couple days hopefully, but on cloudy rainy days, I would like the option to be able to recharge everything with the little Honda 2.0 petrol generator in the absence of sun & solar blanket chargers of sufficient capacity.
I don’t want to buy the Bluetti & find out afterwards that my portable generator won’t charge it is all.
I figure you have a little gen set & Bluetti power stations and could maybe run the experiment for me maybe?
Might make an interesting video topic maybe?
Thanks in Advance if you’re able to assist.
Can’t post the link to Homesteading Uncontained video about their off grid power problems or TH-cam Algorithm deletes my comment unfortunately.
Cheers & keep up the good work.

I admit that I do not use a lot of shit talk, as I save it for when I want to add emphasis. I do not disapprove of shit talk, in general, but it does bother me that some people seem to use it for punctuation. Could you imagine if Shakespeare used shit talk for punctuation?
To be, hell, or not to be, shit. That is the question, motherfucker!
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, fuck that!
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, damn straight, and by opposing, end that shit.

John what do you think of the one sided contracts of car retailers. I have a Toyota contract and have had 4 price increases and been told due to the long delays by Toyota now they wish to redo the contract to drop the price of my Toyota that they offered $37000 originally. I am started to feel violated after the costant insertions by the Toyota dealer.

9:55 min. "Nobody complains after they wake up dead"
Reminds me of that classic line from the (comedy) movie Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze. I think it was Corey Feldman's character said, "it was hell when the Russians arrived . . . people would wake up with their throats slashed!"

11:10 Declan Brady might want to the watch the crash-test between a 1959 Bel Air and a 2009 Chev - on UTube.
The old car folded like an empty milk-carton.
Whereas occupants of the 2009 car would likely have simply stepped-out and had the gut-wrenching experience of watching the occupants of the 1959 car die.
    The Difference is that stark.

If you want a laugh watch Lee the MacMaster's video on when he meets some EVangelists in Teneriefe who assume the motor under the hood on their first gen Nissan Leaf is the battery and that its the best thing since sliced bread.

Tenerife is about 2000 square kilometers of land, and if one doesn’t use it to make multiple deliveries a day or as a taxi, a Nissan Leaf probably has enough range if one has a proper charging setup at home. Lee quixotically tries driving his electric Porsche all over Britain, an island over 100 times larger.
It also doesn’t get very cold on Tenerife.

A lot more angst John - mortgage rates getting to you? Lack of action in the sack?? Will keep watching to see your show flat spin, flamed out into the terrain of TH-cam irrelevance!! Alternatively you could do some insightful car reviews using your abundant technical knowledge as an antidote to the commercial content out there. Will be interesting to see if you walk towards the light, or fall into the clutches of the dark side.

John I have noticed the moaners have given up with their dogma facts and have moved onto personnel insults now. This is a characteristic of a person who has lost the argument and means you win. Your profound adjectives are excellent and add extra attention to the wallies (and our entertainment) who don't understand properly and have that glazed look trying to take in too much information into their tiny brains. Read an article in the Guardian today about the stupidly big SUV's and how the French are resorting to taxing, however I noticed a small note on the Tesla Urinal that they will not be imported into Europe because the weight classifies it as a truck and you can't drive it on a car license being over 3000kg. Sadly UK drivers will be able to drive it because our license limit is 3500 KG.

We should all be more kind this time of year.
I rescued a pigeon from the middle of the road a while back.
It was just flapping and looking tragic.
Thought it would just die for sure but I took it in and called it Elon.

Just shits on everything and can't leave a window open or it gets back in.
Just a little stretch of the imagination should sort it.

Greetings from a long time viewer and a recent Subscriber.
Simple question from me. Perhaps that has been asked and answered before but...
Regarding the apparent EV uptake and our available supply of Coal sourced elektrickery in Oztralia (NSW to be specific), who is championing nuclear/atomic power for the generation of elektrikery? Which political party has it on it's agenda?
I do realise that Three Mile Island/Chernobyl/Fukushima have happened but each one of those has been a lesson that we have learned from.
So, what would be the realistic timeliness of Oztralia adopting Nuklear Power?
It seems that we need all of the Amps and Volts that we need but don't have a way to produce them without Coal.

    • @suttonelms1
      @suttonelms1 ปีที่แล้ว

Surely nuclear has to be the future. Not for any carbon-related reason (there are doubts as to whether CO2 is the driver anyway) but for avoiding resource depletion - we'll need plastics for the long term, and they mostly come from oil.
