She is genuinely one of the best actresses at the moment and still she is soo young ! So grounded and focused on her graft that you rarely see in young actors !
I love how she stands up for Briony. I don't think she was nasty nor an evil girl. She was just a child, and tbh the only time I hated her was when she got old enough and wasn't brave to go and try to settle things up with her sister
I just watched the film. I hated her quite a bit because really think about how much she destroyed. I hated her when she lied, not only did she ruin Robbie but she let a (trigger warning) r*pist free. I hated her when she let Lola marry him, because now she is married to someone who caused her so much trauma and she doesn't even know it. And I hated that she couldn't settle things with her sister before they died. I had moments where I also felt bad for her, ike when she was nursing.
I agree, the interviewer obviously didn’t understand the film, briny wasn’t nasty in the slightest. I think you gain a deeper understanding if you read the book - briony was a 13 year old child with an overactive imagination who craves attention. She’d created this character of Robbie, being a ‘s3x maniac’ because she was bored and a little bit salty that Robbie wasn’t in love with her. It’s open to interpretation, but I believe that Briony didn’t really know who rap3d Lola and almost wanted it to be Robbie, because of this villain she’d created of him, as when Lola says ‘who was it?’, Briony says ‘of course it was, we know he’s a s3x maniac’.

I never hated her i dont blame her not wanting to see Ce and Robbie.Robbie scared the shit out of me
