"I hear, something. Walking? Shouldn't be this close." Famous last words of countless horror movie characters and probably a few Ingen hunting parties.
These fan made jurassic games are cool and indeed have a scary fear factory vibe to them and make the dinosaurs look scary wish we could get an actual horror themed Jurassic Park/world game.
Honestly the closest thing to a Jurassic Park horror game we'll have is a game called "The Isle", they'll be introducing humans soon hopefully and I believe that it will capture the horror feeling of the JP books. Universal seems to be too scared to make a real JP survival game cause it'll scare the kids .-.
They teased every Dino Crisis fan by renewing the IP license and teasing they're "working on something" for the franchise only to effectively ghost people on it.
I know right Capcom need to stop bullshitting us fans and make a dino crisis remake and the second one, Capcom knows they make this game happen listen to your fans Capcom for reals.
It’s important to remember Klayton that when you’re trying to outrun a Tyrannosaurus Rex, no matter how fast her legs are moving, her mouth will always be a good 20 paces ahead of her legs. There’s no time to calculate how fast she has to run in order to reach you. You’re dead the moment the Rex sees you
The second game is meant to be Robert Muldoon in his own twisted purgatory style afterlife after he was killed by the raptor. What the devs should do is end the game with Muldoon finding his own body
We have enough JP park builders. What we need is a modern remake of the old GBA tie-in game Island Attack. Where we have to struggle to survive on Isla Sorna during JP3. Or a modern remake of Jurassic Park on the Sega CD. Trying to solve puzzles with limited weapons all the while trying to acquire dinosaur eggs.
I'd really love an action game based on the Lost World arcade game, because that was great and weirdly more faithful to the book than the film ended up being.
Wish these were NOT fan made games, but actual games being made. We need a Far Cry First Person JP/JW styled game, open world and horror themed. Game companies should learn a thing or two from these fan made games.
I get the feeling that Universal is literally scared of making a true survival horror JP game cause it might give kids nightmares and parents would try to "cancel" the game. Lol.
They aren't scared, they just don't see how they can market a survival horror game to kids. That's what they want. Kids to be interested in their products. Not the adults that stick with the franchise. We're an afterthought while the parents buy their kids Universal products.
That second game with Robert Muldoon they straight up used the crying noise from Silent Hill and the sirens 😂 in the building you went into looks just like the school it's all Silent Hill sound effects 😂😂
so from what i recall, that first game with the t. rex was made by one guy and is more of a tech demo. he released it as a one off and didn't release any updates for it, which is why the rex can just walk through you, you can't go into the restroom, can't get flares from the back of the vehicle, etc. it's such a shame because despite such a simple concept, someone with game dev experience could easily turn something like that into a really awesome jurassic park survival game. mind you, with how weird universal are with going after fan games lately, it's understandable that no one really wants to put in the effort.
Something I really enjoyed in the rex breakout demo is taunting it to come toward you and then remaining still enough for it to lose me. The AI has the behavior of looking back and forth and scrutinizing the area it spotted you with each eye, much like in the book.
Bro did EXACTLY what NOT to do and i loved every second of it! He looked back. You NEVER look back you just keep running lol. As an JP fan since a young boy I Love your channel man! I definitely need a new JP game that gives me the same vibes as "JP: the game" with an updated feel!
Yeah. Maybe play as one of the In-gen workers stuck on that island like in the book. Maybe you lead other workers in an attempt to survive by having small groups go from bunker to bunker for supplies, weapons and ammo. Then either relocate or help other survivors out until help arrives. Someone else can help fill in the blanks to this idea if they want. I'm not creative enough to do that.
Trespasser from 1998 is my favorite Jurassic Park game ever. Mostly because of John Hammonds (Richard Attenborough) story telling in the game 🥰. And also the scarying atmosphere off been alone
I remember years ago before Ghostbusters: The Video Game was released and there was a game being developed some upstart group. Sony shut it down pretty quickly and fans were so disappointed. As it turned out, Sony already had something in the works. I look at this and wonder what is Universal is smoking that they don't see the response to this and don't develop something like it.
They would rather play things safe and market to kids, than have to rely upon adult fans. We adults don't always have the money to buy their products when they want people to, but kids' parents? Bingo.
The Scariest Game in the Jurassic Franchise, Awesome and great work on this Klayton and this has got to be the most suspenseful and terrifying scene in the games I’ve ever seen in my opinion and it looks kinda cool, not gonna lie especially the Tyrannosaur scene. Great job on this Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
I enjoy hearing your love and enjoyment of dinosaurs, its contagious. This was great to see you play. Id wanted a game like this purely to be able to watch you play and enjoy it. Thanks for the upload Klayton.
Hey Kalyton if you love Jurassic Park games than you will definitely would love Oakwood. It may not have the Jurassic name but it's inspired by Jurassic Park especially the Lost World. It's only 3.99 on steam you would love it. I can promise you that. So please please please play it I would love to see your reaction to it
30:00 Ok this is really fricking scary, this actually reminds me of the xenomorth from Alien Isolation where you have to use stealth to get past the main enemy, in this case you have to safely evade an extremely intelligent velociraptor which is SO much worse than just simply avoiding the T Rex in the previous game,at least the T Rex can't see you when you're not moving but that doesn't matter when you're stuck in a kitchen with a very very smart velociraptor who's vision does not rely on movement,I think just before it goes for you you have a split second to hide before it starts to run straight towards you
Very cool. I hope they do something with the IP rather than let it sit for another 10-20 years. A movie or game based on the books would be cool, but I'm sure that between those and movies there are plenty of opportunities for new stories to fit within the timeline. I'd settle for a horror remake of Trespasser, though.
I'm still surprised you haven't done an in depth look at JP Aftermath since it's canon. I know it's lame to just watch if you dont have VR though. I recently found a really neat dino game called Oakwood. Only takes 2 hours to finish and it's on Steam. Highly recommend if you like what Klayton showed here.
JPOG missions: "Kill every carnivore on the Island to save the president, also the helicopters broke so get in the car and not get crushed" Kind of what makes Evolution stale, they went too far into family friendly
I found it great that Michael Crichton's novel is in the game, now that's faithful. My exact reaction: "Awesome!" Nedry's laugh is contagious, makes laugh every time
They won't. Resident Evil is far more popular and makes the money Capcom likes to see. Dino Crisis will not make that kind of money despite having a cult following (that's growing by the day) and a huge desire for a remaster/remake of it that's growing (by the day too). I think it's the largest desire since... I dunno, Prince of Persia on some old console? Or something else.
17:20 "This game is pretty... pretty awesome as far as the ambience and everything goes, but unfortunately, I'm not really seeing much else to do".... proceeds to tumble violently over the cliff. 😂
I would love have a type of Jurassic park where it its based around on the second film being alone or with a friend in a alien isolation vibe, move quiet slow and with caution for the dangers.
Oohhh, so when you hide in the bushes in the velociraptor jp3 looking game, the raptor eye closes, I am assuming this is to tell you you're hidden/ they can't see you.
I recognized that silent hill 1 fog music right away and I thought to myself “oh no he didn’t” then the siren-like sounds and darkened atmosphere confirmed it to me.
There is almost nothing more that I want now than a high quality Jurassic Park survival game professionally published on this engine. Imagine a game like Alien: Isolation, but with Jurassic Park dinosaurs. If that game could happen why can't this? I would buy it in five seconds flat. Seriously, somebody get on this please I will give you all of my money 😂
I’d argue that the Telltale Jurassic Park was survival horror. The only difference was that it was less gore-y and on rails. But it’s perfect for kids. I played it when I was 13.
I think its very odd that all of these indy JP games have been allowed to be released without Universals approval. Yet the JP game Krenautican and his team are developing (the one made within the Dreams program on PS5), has been unceremonially stopped by universal in its current form. This game was being made by a non profit team and it's giving us the content we've been begging for, for the last 20 years or so. It just seems Universal come what may, will not have a horror action game associated with them. Since this is what Jurassic Park is all about, I don't get why Universal are being so unyielding on this issue.

@@jeffreysaunders9664 I would probably say a remake.
Yeah screw the park builder games
A game like the Camp Cretaceous show would hit the mark imo. Survive, gather resources & escape
Its sad that Capcom will keep milking Resident Evil, but wont do a single modern Dino Crisis.
They teased every Dino Crisis fan by renewing the IP license and teasing they're "working on something" for the franchise only to effectively ghost people on it.

Torch passed on, Capcom had their chance & they wasted it… Add these games to your wish list, The Lost Wild, Instinction, Deathground, Ferocious
@t1gerstripe690 Reminds me of Dino Crisis 3; we all know how that turn out.
We waited and waited alas, we all should move on from Dino Crisis and hope the new Jurassic park coming out next year will be awesome.

Yep.
Sad it was canceled it’s been out for maybe 5 years now I think creator just gave up
Silent Hill
I love how the second game just turns into Silent Hill at the end
props to the effort these devs go through to bring us the games the big time studios refuse to.
Did he credit any or link to them at all?
We have enough JP park builders. What we need is a modern remake of the old GBA tie-in game Island Attack. Where we have to struggle to survive on Isla Sorna during JP3. Honestly, I think a Game like Alien Isolation would be a awesome direct translation to a Jurassic Park horror game.
Jurassic Park Survival is indeed that game
This is beautiful they are scared to actually put effort it’s absolutely ridiculous. We have enough park simulators😂 love your vids klayton
I get the feeling that Universal is literally scared of making a true survival horror JP game cause it might give kids nightmares and parents would try to "cancel" the game.

One of my fondest memories as a kid is sitting in a jeep 10 at universal studios California back in 94
In the movies rex can't see you if you don't move. But their sence of smell should be on point. So you standing still shouldn't matter.
We need to get creative assembly to do the same magic with jurassic park that they did with alien.
The Raptors are in the kitchen, are walking on top of the countertop very quickly
