One thing I want add to what they talked about with iron is I was iron deficiency anemia and I had kind of something stacked against me where I had my large intestine removed 12 years ago and one of the first things I found is that if you want to take control of your anemia is take iron with orange juice it helps your body absorb it way better. And on a plus side my doctor said that I no longer appear to be anemic.
The other day, I was craving Gatorade and almonds like mad when I had to do a basic metabolic panel blood test. It turns out that my sodium and potassium were both slightly low. Very interesting! Thanks!

Hey hun I am going to try and answer your question I actually myself was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia and because of some Diet changes my blood was tested this week and I do not show signs of anemia and one of the most important things I learned is take iron with orange juice will help your body absorb it way better but also find some good foods that have a lot of high protein I really like eggs and turkey bacon lot healthier then pork bacon. wheat bread is a great thing to have anything with seeds is also pretty good. I actually had my large intestine removed about 12 years ago so I can't really handle seeds that well but you may be able to get a good boost out of them.
