I planted over 2200 cobnuts recently in some sort of air prune boxes (some of them made from repurposed materials such as a bathtub). I can't wait to see them grow into saplings. I filmed and posted the videos. Hopefully the update will be full of hazelnut trees. Thank you for sharing your videos! We need more people to grow trees and create better places and better times. Take care!

Definitely mate, I’m hoping to get 300-400 hazels from this lot, that would cost like £500 or more, the nuts cost me £28 😀

Wish I had a farm so I could have as much fun growing trees from seed as you are (jealous), however I love your passion for growing your own 'woods' and have spent this last winter trying to grow Chestnut (sweet & horse)/Hazel (Nuts & Cuttings)/Almond/Blackthorn/Wallnut with some successes - but will have to enjoy some Gorilla planting in my area instead, due to a lack of room ;) however.; MORE NATIVE TREES the better :)
Love your mission statement, so please keep up your passions & your TH-cam tips Sir! :)

Hiya, I'm definitely going to have a go germinating hazels with the method you used. Do you think it would be okay to mix in other seeds like acorns/conkers/beech nuts in the same container? Many thanks

I don’t see why not, I’ve not had much luck with beech nuts when I tried a few years ago
      Good luck with it 👍

Thank you :) , oh really the beech nuts didn't germinate in leaf mould?

Not a single one but it was a very dry year so possibly they were unviable I’m not sure
