Wonderful interview. I knew Lanny when he was at Bell Communications Research. and was part of the Electronic Panning Camera team. I now know a lot more of his story. Many thanks.

Hey, guys! It's so cool that you got Lanny Smoot onto the show, especially after Keith made a video about him :). So happy for you :).
I think it's wonderful how Lanny was inspired by his father :). Curiosity is wonderful. It's great to be curious. There is so much to learn, and when we explore our curiosities, we can share much beauty with our world.
That's rad how he'll be the keynote speaker for the Columbia graduation!
It's cool how Columbia is his home university. I have visited NYC but have not visited Columbia yet. I want to.
"Time is promised to you in life." So true. It's so easy to take it for granted. It's easy to spend a day mindlessly or to not fully appreciate life. Very wise points by Lanny Smoot.
It's neat how Kerwin and Lanny share a connection over Brooklyn :). NYC is great. I'd love to visit it again.
That's so cool that there were slides on a jumbotron about him. :) He's awesome.
Never heard of Subscriber Loop Carriers. It was fun to learn about that :).
I remember coin telephones. They were neat. :]
Lanny's story of how he met someone from Disney and how they used his technology is neat. It's cool how he was recruited also.
It's wonderful how he's eternally curious. So am I. :) I can relate to him and what he said resonated with me :).
That's so cool how he invented the lightsaber! The infinity figure he has is rad! :) :)
I agree. The lightsabers that Lanny made would likely be incredible. If Disney ever sells them, I'd like to see them.
Haha i often assume unknown numbers are from telemarkters also.
It's hilarious how he had a grumpy voice at first and then softened it after finding out who they were. :).
It's wonderful how he's in the National Inventors Hall of Fame :D.
The story of how he found out who the first inductee from Disney and how he found out he was the second is wonderful as well. :)
His efforts and goals to show others (especially people of color) that they can do the same thing are great also :).
It's awesome how there will be more interactivity :). I'm excited to see how this goes :).
Lanny Smoot has had such a huge impact :). It's awesome how he has shaped much of Disney and has a huge positive impact of many. Plus, as he said, he improved phone lines and I'm sure that has benefited many also. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if the things that people see at Disney inspire them to do great things or spark their creativity. It's incredible how much of a difference people can have on others :).
Wonderful interview! It was great hearing about Lanny's work and his insights and wisdom.
I am impressed by Keith's work too. It's cool how he is involved in robotics and loves Legos. This is a great foundation for the future.
He has a good goal of wanting to get a job at a young age to prevent going into debt for college. Also a great goal of writing books. Wow! He's written multiple books also? Awesome! I'd love to read them too. When he publishes them and sells them on Amazon or a different site, I'd like to buy one :).
He's very talented and smart. I wish him all the best.
"Keith, you're going to be an amazement to the world." I totally agree. :D
Excellent interview! It's also one of my favorites. Take care!
