EDIT: Dear Bogdan, I learned the hard way (maiming a Caran D'Ache Madison 1 fountain pen) that the very first to do with a secondhand fountain pen is to submerge it in soapy water overnight, then change the water until ink gets out. That is, try to minimize the possibility of getting ink gunk inside the pen. It can easily ruin a fountain pen if the new owner tries to disassemble it. You got lucky.
