I just found this so fascinating to hear all of this from your perspective. It helps me understand my husband and my male relatives and friends, as well as how to communicate most effectively to them regarding these issues.

I don't mind at all ,I'm pleased that you've talked about this.Ive been with my current (lol) Mr Leahy for 24 yrs ,and he's been to his GP Once !!!! He didn't go back for the results of a blood test, on that occasion. I saw it as selfish, as he's insisted that I get things checked if there not right .So thankyou xx 😊💞

Thank you for addressing these issues. I hope men start to pay attention because we women love them and want them to stay alive and healthy. Unfortunately, some of them act as though they're immune to the health issues that affect the rest of us mere mortals. I wish that awareness was enough to motivate them to make the necessary changes. Having suffered through health issues that no amount of healthy living or medical checkups could prevent, it frustrates me to see people I care for not doing things that can prevent many common health problems or catch them when they're curable. Exercise, as you mentioned, is huge for both men and women. My recent health issues have limited my exercise a bit, but my husband and I have committed to walking at least 30 minutes a day. I hope we can stick to it when our winter weather hits. I also wish we had your lovely neighborhood to walk in! I've enjoyed having you as my virtual tour guide around Abingdon. Give Bunty and Toby a chin scratch for me!

Toby and Bunty were delighted with their chin scratches! It's so easy to take for granted the beautiful town countryside on my doorstep. Vlogtober really has given me a new appreciation for what is almost literally on my doorstep.

real interesting - my husband is 51 pretty much of the opinion that he does not want to know if he has any form of cancer. I think he is selfish because what about whoever gets left behind...

That's a very man thing, I'm afraid. It's always better to know so that you can get ahead of it and beat it. But sometimes we end up thinking, if I don't acknowledge it then it isn't real. In truth it's unlikely but I'd rather know, myself.
