This aria is other worldly. And every time I have the sublime delight of listening to it, I remember that humans are capable of beauty. In this time of history, it appears difficult to find.
I worked at the record label when this was released. Elina was always nice and easy to work with. Anna was nice with the bosses, but to the employees she could be a real pain sometimes. To be fair, I had no problems with her. She never spoke to me, and I was not on her team, so I did not care that much. But some of my co-workers were a bit frustrated with her. She was the label's biggest artist and she knew it. She wasnt a jerk or something. Just somewhat of a diva, as you might expect. Elina, in the other side, was not! Most artists on DG at that time were pretty nice and down to earth, with a few exceptions.
Wow, love this piece, both amazing vocalists. Subtitles added a lot of context to this lovely piece of music! Honestly makes me glad to be alive to experience this lovely manifestation of humanity!
Thank you for the lyrics! I'm trying to learn this without a background in opera or French so it's very helpful for me to have the captions, audio, visual and translation in one video! Cheers!
Amazing, this master piece makes me cry and laugh at the same time, scrolling my life in a second under the tree beside the river. Those two divas soothing my soul 💜💜💜
I first heard this beautiful piece on a documentary about Fame narrated by David Frost It was on the segment about Lady Diana Spencer and the Royal Wedding to Prince Charles - sad the fairytale turned out the way it did
I just found out that I've been confusing this song with the opera in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" . After having listened to both of them, I realize they are nothing alike 😂😂😂😂😂
Mais quelle beauté. Faudrait inventer un mot pour cette bette beauté. C'est divin.
Et vive la france
Comment se lasser de cette beauté infinie…
I've listened to other artists sing this but Netrebko & Garanca are my favourites.

You're Sicilian? I read a lot of history...
🇦🇷
Sitting and watching this sipping my tea when Putin rains tactical nukes outside. "we are dressed in our best and prepared to go down as gentilemen"
Now if that’s a fact tell me am I lying? Because you, you’re part eggplant. True Romance
Anyone here from after reading 50 sheds of grey
came here because of the d'arbo ads
who wants to hear where sicilians come from?
Nasality and Voce ingolato destroys the art and beauty of the voice.

@@kurtroy1061 same to you as well, with respect.
What are you talking about? These ladies were amazing and very talented!
