- Video of me driving my motorhome to an RV park and getting settled in.
Now officially living fulltime in a Class A motorhome, feels good.
So glad to be done with moving, now it's time for projects and hopefully soon a proper tour video.
Great vid!! You are my favourite Rv channel and I love your Rv.
Lachlan Thomas Thank you!
Patches is lucky to have an owner that takes care of her as much as you do and you drive her Like a Boss. I can't wait for new adventures on the road.
u are starting to become one of my fav channels.
Methos Films That's great to hear, Thanks! :D
Congrats on ya big move keep the vids coming and thank you.
Thanks! :D
I didn't realize that RV parks would only take RVs from certain years. Learned yet another new thing. Thanks!
+Teresa H Yeah I was a bit surprised by that as well. I'd be telling them to kiss my ass and buy me a newer RV if they bitched about the year.
+Devoldo I will never understand that rule. So if i have a 1990 Prevost bus that looks amazing, i cant stay but if i have a 2014 travel trailer i can stay. To me it should go on your rvs look not year. Or how about if i had a 1960s Airstream all polished up looking amazing.
@@DevoldoinHD unfortunately, the older ones are like tanks compared to newer ones.. 99' and earlier are the beat years for full timing.
@@xplorearizona154 its based off mechanicals. They dont want a 20yr old rig busting a black tank or catching fire due to old rotted power wires.. This is an insurance issue. Not the parks issue.
Live the dream brother. Nice throwback rig and sweet spot you've found there. I will be joining the fulltime family shortly. Excited!!!
I can't imagine living *full-time* in an RV. I've always seen a motorhome as being like a mobile hotel, something to stay in during a road trip. And then park at home when you return until you're ready for your next road trip.
+Jason Carpp Ya same here, my grandpa had one and it was only taken out once a year for a family thing. Moving into one was VERY weird lol.
+Class A Living I imagine. If I had someone to share the experience with, I'd probably use it at least twice a year, visiting various places in Washington state, Oregon, NorCal, and Idaho. :)
hearing that old v8 puffing away...so cool. reminds me of my 67 buick skylark . cheers axel
I love the new location, it looks gorgeous.
good luck have nice time love watching.
That is a NICE looking unit for being older. Congrats on the move!
Thanks so much!
I have a 1989 36' winnie, identical to yours, same color inside and out. same floor plan, layout. love mine.
+Peggy Trammell Me too!
WOW, I am speechless. The cars were moving in the freeway. I'm from Los Angeles, CA and that is something we never see. Nah, seriously I love this dance tune. Also, I want to live in an RV and in another state. I would appreciate any advise.
+D. Hair Truck Gal I'm still learning myself but for advice, since you want to live in another state, i would start by finding something that runs good. One of my biggest fears is a breakdown and having to leave my home along the side the road or being stranded, leaky roofs are easy (if nothing else get a cheap tarp) but a breakdown can be catastrophic imo.
BUT if you are looking to just stay at a park then you can get a trailer (or a non-running motorhome) and have it towed to where you want to go then stay there, but moving would be a hassle so you gotta make sure you can afford the rent.
I love that mine runs so i can just leave if i can't afford to pay rent somewhere (which is kinda what happened in my case)..
I hope that's helpfull, feel free to ask me anything else i'll answer as best i can. :)
Motorhome looks in great shape. Looks like your in a pretty darn nice park, good luck in your job search and your full time rv living. Wife and I hope to get out on the road in the latter part of 2016.
Thanks! :)
Sweet looking motorhome. I used to know someone who had one like this.
+Jason Carpp Thanks! I like the look of it now too that it's grow on me.
+Class A Living At the time, I didn't find it very attractive. It wasn't bad looking overall, I just didn't like how its front end looked. Today, I like it. What year is this model?
i think motorhomes are the coolest thing when ever you don't like your neighbors you can just move your house lol
Exactly.
Good luck! !
Bro. How did that feel? We are about to do the same thing! 1990 HR 31ft class A. Your "phewww" when you got to the main raod was like a sigh of adventure.. Like you just realized that is now your home. How is that feeling? I think its gonna be great!
I think that if I have a "modern" looking motorhome such as say a 1995 Monaco and it has been well made and kept up and shined up, I would lie like a dog to the park on the phone! "Yes mam I have a 2005 Monaco! Then if they tried to evict me I'd deal with that. The trouble with Christian Nomad's idea is that if I want some resort living such as Blue Water Resort in the Florida Keys I'd have no second choice!
I think the longest I have spent on the road is 18 days. Even with slides the walls start closing in it seems. I hope everything goes well for you. Every big change is loaded with opportunity. If you could just get yourself a few more thousand subscribers you could just live off your TH-cam videos.
That would be awesome :)
Congrats on the big move mate.
TruFantom21 Thanks!
nice place
Are you using a pressure regulator for the fresh water hook-up and a surge protector? I couldn't tell. If not, I suggest you get both so you don't have future issues. Like your set-up. Cheers! ~M
Good advise thanks!
Class A Living If you need a deal on a surge protector contact Chris from Chris Travels... he can get you a good deal and you are also helping a fellow RVer. all the best just subbed - good channel !!
Wander Dano Thanks! And good to know i'll PM him sometime about that, i keep hearing that's something i should invest in.
Yep! I picked one up from Chris also!
Class A Living I pushed my luck for a long time but got a good deal from him on one.
Nice video, good luck and keep up the good work...
Can I ask tho, what is up with the rear view mirror? I have personally not seen a class A with a rear view mirror before.
rshotrod1965 Thanks! lol ya i thought it was weird too, it was there when i bought it and is pretty much pointless i'll be putting in a back up camera hopefully soon
Need larger windshield wipers.
lol, agreed
What was the time frame between buying the Rv and you actually moving in? Also what year is your new home?
TheRooibosSuite It's an '89. I moved my stuff into the motorhome a week or two after i bought it then spent the next 3 - 4 months living in the driveway while the house was being fixed up to be sold.
Do you feel it is snobbery when an R/V park says "no rv older than 2005 allowed?" I know why they do it but your R/v could pass for younger! Ever think about telling a fib to them on the phone?
Charles Tait I have a 1999 Bounder. I usually thank the person on the phone when they tell me that my RV is too old because if they have a rule like that I'm REALLY NOT interested in camping there. I've embraced minimalism and humility and I don't have any use for pride or "snobbery" as you put it. Peace. ✝
Charles Tait I was thinking of doing that at one point out of frustration but i was worried i might get a knock at the door asking me to leave the next day, i have a feeling they eventually check. But out of three parks that turned me down one of them said if i brought in some pictures of it they would consider it, i brought in one but he couldn't see both sides and started being picky about it. At the end of the conversation though he kinda made it sound like if i had just drove it in there and let him look at it he might have of let me stay. I really want to go back there so i may try doing that in a couple months.
Great videos
Thank you!
I just recently found your video and it seems I started at the beginning. Nice park, good find. I too have a old RV. We are in the process of renovating the inside .... removed the carpet and wall papers, replacing toilet, stuff like that and move to do. I hope to see more videos. Good luck.
+Gina Bigelow Thanks! More videos comming soon, good luck to you too! :)
Liked the video, but the music not so much.
Problem is Fulltime Rv ers are tetered to a street mailing address. the Dept of motor vehicles want except a PObox address.
Cool
New sub here, waving from Snohomish..
+Dry Creek Ranch Thanks! :)
where are you ? I'm looking for a good place to full time .
Vincent Bright Im in Washington state, i don't want to give exact location because trolls like to call and make fake complaints
I understand. Just trying to go full time
Vincent Bright Google: "Rv parks" with your area code
do that place have sewer hook up?
Mine doesn't but they do have some lots with sewer. I hope to switch to one soon.
I just hate those R/V snob parks that say you must have a newer motorhome! Time to lie to em and say it's newer.
Your Rv has quite a bit of water damage. Notice the bubbles. Need to research everything before it gets much worse.
Yes i know about the delamination. Roof is getting fixed this summer, repair video coming soon
You move the camara to fast
Why don't you place the camera on the dash and give us a much nicer picture.
Hmm guess i didn't think about it, that's why, i'll do that next for my next trip. Thanks for the feedback.
