Better Policy Making & Governance using Data driven Actionable Insights

Have you ever heard about the shortage of a particular medicine and pondered, why couldn’t we take corrective actions prior? Perhaps you have wondered why we end up importing wheat when we have enough stock available indigenously. Well, recently I had the opportunity to interact with the policy makers from a few hospitals and personnel from civil society. Based on the discussions that took place, I have since learnt that data availability and resulting actionable insights is a topic poorly understood among policy makers, primarily those who do not hail with a technical background.
Based on these learnings, I recorded a video of which below is an excerpt. In this video I present real-life examples of how going digital, inclusion of data and actionable insights can help institutions as well as governments make smarter choices like offering better services or tackling tough social issues. From healthcare to city planning to administration, data can do amazing things when we use it right!
Note that while I present a rather simplified case for the purpose of explanation and in real-life execution, there would be some complexities involved but I hope this video helps you view things differently as well.
