Thanks for the detailed information. This is the best video on curry leaves plant I could find on the internet. Brahmadev ji, I have a small curry plant at home which I bought a month ago from the nursery. To my surprise, it grew rapidly in the first week it came home. But now the leaves on top have grown big while those under it are yellowing/ drying and falling off. I see a small new growth on its top but I can tell that the growth has stopped. The plant has no branches and the stem is also quite thin and fragile. Please suggest what I should do to ensure that it stands firm and grows branches. After watching your video, I feel it's too early to prune it.

I have planted a curry leaves plant, taken from a nursary,, in a 6 inch plastic pot around 1.5 months back and seeing that it's growth is very very slow but listening you I am a little bit relaxed as it's growth in first year is slow according to you otherwise I was worried about it's growth.
To grow it faster I have already made a pruning at top,
    Have I make a mistake ?
Can I still hope that after one year it will grow faster !
    Pl. Suggest .

I don't know which country do you belong to, but as a general rule the curry plant being a cold sensitive plant will not show any growth during winter after repotting. So, you can repot it now, but avoid fertilizers and apply less water during colder months. And thanks for the appreciation!

My curry plant is shedding alot of leaves lately I am not able to find out the reason the plant is in well drained big pot .I water every 3 days because winter has started .the plant is located in UAE and in winters its not that hot and its has colder nights .temperature right now is upto 30 or 25 degree .i don't water much .its once in 3 days .whatelse can I do to save my plant
The plant is almost with few leaves left

    • @CITYGARDENING

Shedding leaves is normal during colder months. I have already stated that this plant is cold sensitive and must be protected from cold drafts and frost by placing it at some warm location. Less watering and no fertilizer during winter too.

Brilliant video. I am in London and as you know we hardly get hot weather. I got a small indoor curry leaves plant but the growth is very slow even after one year. I kept it in one of my window where it gets good sunlight through out the year.
Shall I prone it ? Please advise. Thanks 🙏

The growth will be slower due to colder climate. Nothing to worry. Pruning is not required for small plants.

Yes, you can. Just keep in mind that the soil should not hold water for long.
