Instead of coco peat do you think saw dust would work as a growing medium. i am in canada. Cannot find coco peat. Another option i have is peat moss. Thanks

Yes, same question from Canada. I have tried couple of times to grow from stick. No luck yet :(
@@PrakshGo I succeeded this summer. Sawdust failed miserably.
Tips.
Find a smaller grocery store owner who can give you a fresh cutting where you could get a cutting that is at least 7 to 8 centimeters long .
Attempt only when temperature is reasonably warm.
Though the inside temperature is warm, since Canadian homes has the furnace running, the humidity is too low to start sprouts.
Garden soil didn't work. Potting soil should work. I had grass clippings from the lawnmower dumped in a heap which has become mostly compost but with a reasonable amount of dry grass still in it. Worked perfectly.
Coat the bottom part (that goes into soil) with a mix (paste) of cinnamon powder and honey.
👍

Thanks for the video...is a mini green house necessary for this? I live in a very hot climate. And if I need I am planning to use an inverted bottle, so should it be airtight or should some holes be made in it? And how often should the water be changed. The pot itself has holes below too...please advice. Thank you
