I was wearing my FabRats Teeshirt and someone asked, "what is FabRats"? I told them y'all were a Metal band from Utah
Bwahahahahha!
😂😂😂
🎸🤘🏽🍻!!
Let’s do names!
Paul and The Fabrackets
They're best known for their number one song "Tearin' It Up" 😂😂😂
PAUL! SHE GAVE YOU LIFE- YOU PUT NEW TIRES ON THAT CAR RIGHT NOW
Hey Fab Rats, I sent the tape measures they didn’t do a “gift” feature so I couldn’t addd my name nor words of appreciation for all ur great content. I saw a few videos back you asked if anyone knew where to find those. I paused the video n tried to figure out which type of 12' starett tape you had but couldn’t quite see it so I sent the 4 different types they sold. Thank you for hours of great videos…Jason Vitto
Thanks
I recognized those tape measures from that video.
You can never have too many tape measures. They disappear as soon as you set them down whenever you’re doing a project.

Dang. Paul got hit with "The Birth Contract". 😂😂
That unwritten contract has ended many a discussions and debates. So funny.
obviously the contract contains everything Grandma needs or wants. So always read the small print - even on your first day in this world
And now he's putting tires on her vehicle. Lol. She's awsome
Just love grandma Lolly
G'ma Lolly for the WIN!
I'd like to see the bed on there as it is just for reference before it gets cut up. It also wouldn't hurt to have it longer in case you build something or need to haul out something longer than the FJ
I'm also curious if there is a reason it needs to be cut shorter. Maybe it's something to do with the frames length? I so hope he addresses it in the next video on this truck
Paul dating himself by calling a J turn a “Rockford”. I love it. Cause this old man knew immediately what he was talking about.🤣😂🤣
I learned it as a "Bootleg Uturn" distant relative to a Montana Bootlegger from the prohibition.
The measuring tapes were from me. I ordered them from Amazon and had them sent directly to you.
Grandma Lolly is the og Fabrat 😂 her comment reminded me so much of my mom(who passed away when i was young). I have never related to a TH-camr until now
Rockford was quality entertainment ... but I still want either The Fall Guys' truck, or the truck from Simon & Simon!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Rockey's GMC was pretty sweet.
That's what we always called it where I grew up, a Rockford. Arguably easier/funner in front wheel drive vehicle....
Simon and Simon's truck! That thing was a beast!!
Aka Bootlegger Reverse
fall guy for the win.
Paul. I love your mother. She reminds me of my grandmother.
I want to be part of the worry wart crew. “Hey Paul ….that orange hose connecting the fuel tanks is going to get ripped off!”🤣🤦🏽♂️🫡
Oh yeah, Grandma Lolly RULES!
I thoroughly enjoy the whole Fabrats crews interaction. Grandma Lolli is a hoot. She reminds me of my own mother.
I can't believe how long it took Hunter to realize Paul was aiming at him, I was laughing before the first shot! Classic, contracted at birth, good one Grandma Lollie!
What Grandma Lolly wants, Grandma Lolly gets! No contracts are needed. Lol. Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Not sure I can say anything that has not already been said in the comments! However, I think I finally figured out who the biggest kid is of the group.......PAUL 🤣😂🤣😂 Thank you so much fo sharing
"I'm Stuck""Pull me out"
Hey Paul I think that you should leave the bed as long as you can so you can get as much on it as you can that is a very good looking bed as it is so try to use as much as you can be cause the role back naturally has as long overhang as it is just look at it on the truck and look at it on your own truck and you will see what I mean thank you very much Charlie kretschmar Glendale Arizona
"How many times do we gotta do that?"
"Well until you get me some new tires 💅"
😂😂😂
You need that chassis cab frame. That 2500 frame looks tiny.
It's good to see the Rat Back nearing closer to completion! Excellent video!👍
Love your crew!!! Can you give us an update on the Ol' Chicken Whisperer, Randall??? We sure enjoyed his calm demeanor and gentle ways. What's he up to? Is he well?
He’s well, helping another cousin doing taxidermy.
Leave the rollback deck the length it is. You will find use for the length.
KUDOS ! Editor. I watch these build videos and am about over them. This one though, this was fun again. Can't miss you guys. Wish I was closer. I could sweep your floors. 😉
Hey Paul, One thing you guys definitely need is a flex heads for your welding gear look it up you will thank me later for suggesting it.
I absolutely love Grandma Lolly. The shenanigans you guys get into just makes me laugh so hard, especially with the hot beef jerky. Paul, mind your mother! Thank you for sharing! 👍 😊 Stoped watching Matt's channel a while back, couldn't take it anymore.
That 6.7 is what you need in the ratback with the Ppump on the 5.9 already in it
Love your Mum she is awesome
Now she’s gonna have some capacity!! Good job
A Rockford! Crazy. I knew right away what you planned. Lmao at the monitor. Nice job too! 8/10 because not full 180. Creativity? Off the charts. And once again you schooled the poor young Hunter who just doesn't know these things.
If you look around the steering console of the dodge there will be a rectangle piece that can pop out. Shove a small flat head in the hole that appears from pulling it and you can shift out of gear. Almost every car has a spot like that near the shift lever. Also, broom squeegees work better if you push it instead of pulling it Shaun
Broom squeezes do work better pushing, until they wear out then pulling works better.
@jasonstrout4502 true true, the skipping of a worn out squeegee sucks
@@michaelmain1990 I thought they were all done with water in the shop when they added the metal flashing.😉🤪🤣
Snow melt from the wrecked truck.@@iffykidmn8170
Tow truck driver here ... In the late model ram trucks, there is a park lock release behind a panel that pops out just above the parking brake release. With a small screwdriver, unlock the red/orange strap then pull till it clicks. Now it's in neutral. The reverse puts in back in park. You're welcome. :)
Rockford is a good ole Bootlegger as I call em. My drivers ed teacher taught me how to do it back in 85. He used to train cops in his prior years so he had tons of creative stuff up his sleeve.
Good afternoon from Cape Cod 🦈 now those springs definitely are heavy duty, I don't think there's a possibility of you overloading them. Keep up the great work guys and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
It is good to see Paul welding again. I was wondering why Paul kept letting Sean have all the fun.
Got my drivers license at in 1980,my first solo trips were to practice Rockfords in my 1973 Ford F100,great show, good times, thanks for reviving old memories
Great work. “ I am only going to put it in far enough to get it off” . 😊
And then there are a great many people at church that watch your wonderful podcast and then the fact that you have a good life a simple life with children and family and basketball games and baseball games and we love the fact that you seem to be able to get along with all around you and then perhaps when you can't you back away but we all hope that you and your pal Matt to the south of you get together and again his program is something which is Happy clear clean and of the kind of neighborhoods and lives that we all grew up in in the 50s and that is very important that you get along so we can all get along with the understanding that this simple message resonate regardless of whether or churchy or not regardless of whether were married or not regardless of whether or widowed or not.
There's very
Merlin or Steve Darnell would probably love that Diesel motor , transmission, and rear end.
A "Rockford" in a Rollback. I can honestly say I didn't think I'd be seeing that today. Good show!
Ok lots going on with the Ratback spring mods and getting closer to getting the rollback bed installed. Grandma Lolly is such a charm! Get me tires son!
Had one of those Tonka jeeps, still sad to this day that it died in the sandbox 45+ years ago.
I backed up the vids and have been binge watching and as far as the folks that give bad comments I don't understand them cause if they dont like it they should not watch its that simple as for me I love the content ty for your videos
22:30 Measure twice cut once!! .. Thanx for leaving in theses seances! .. Makes us feel better as we all do this! .. PLUS, makes us more cautious, mistakes like this working outside in the snow are much more annoying!
I swapped 350 small block TH350 transmission an 4 bolt rear end.. ALL into a 1966 flat face chevy van ... all outside in the snow over one winter..
NOTHNG was designed to bolt in, but I made it all fit!! I had one rule, No outside work when it got below Zero Fahrenheit!!
This is in Northern Canada, the snow was so deep for a month, I had to tunnel in to do work unde the van... and it was surprisingly warm in there with no wind and the torches cutting! :)
Those springs are a good addition.
classic she pulled i am your mom and get me tires card lol
She probably figured, "These guys are frying them by the dozen - I should at least get new set to take care of."
Thank you Paul and crew for the update on the Ratback !
Looking good. Going to be awsomw when it's done. I don't understand why you would shorten the bed though. Wouldn't it be better to have more room.
I don't think they have the wheelbase to support the full length, and I'm sure he wants it to be shorter for better maneuvering off road. he already has a regular rollback for fitting as much on as he can, sounds like this is gonna strictly be a FJ carrier, and to haul out the occasional side by side
Lol love Grandma Lolly!. Day she gave birth to Paul, contact was signed.
23:26 The thing with using existing new spring paks like this, (compared to adding random leaves to your old packs) is??
The engineering is already done for you! You getting FREE truck super experienced, manufacturing level engineering for FREE. Ride height, weight bias, ride comfort - to bull strength spring ratios! .. All for free :) ..
Beats the heck out of trial and error back yard stuff we are used to ... IMO :)
Should have used the dually rear end, would have looked cool
Awesome Rockford turn around. Want to see you do it on the pavement in a car!!👍
I am still watching your videos on the 24th and it is 7:15 pm 😊 !
Great episode. Love grandma Lolly!
I think you should make a surprise appearance at the off road wrecker games!!!
The old Rockford …
I remember practicing them when I was a young feller !!!
Sooo cool if pulled off correctly!!!
This was a GREAT episode .. very instructional!! and fantasticc results!!! .. Can't wait to see all the aluminum welding the bed episode next!
The Rockford is one of my favorites! I've done many.
Great Sunday boys
with all the weight you're going to be hauling, the rocks and flex.... maybe some extra, extra bracing on those springs?
ROCKFORD FILES...!!!!
GOOD OLD DAYS WITH GOOD OLD SHOWS...!!!!
It is true, the Mother son contract is binding. Absolutely. No exceptions. Get her some tyres!
Great Channel.
Paul boys will be boys. Come on Paul take care of Grandma Lollie. Great job guys that will be some heavy duty holling.
Enjoyed watching you guy's ripping and tearing! Now those are some leaf springs they should do the job!!!
Thank you. Another excellent video, keep on making videos about what you're up to Fab Rats
That Jeepster was made in Minnetonka, Minnesota were I went to High School.
Landon, I'm glad you're getting to learn so much. Side by side hand in hand! 👍👍👍
The Rockford, also known as a Bootlegger's turn. It should absolutely be part of any drivers education class.
Keep that spicy beef jerky in your cold weather gear it warms you up without moving.
Those springs look like they would be able to carry 10,000 pounds with no problem. That should handle a sand buggy!! lol!! The Rat Back just keeps looking better all the time. Keep up the good work guys😁
I live in Rockford, Illinois. I used to watch Rockford files. We used to do that when we were kids. We called it Rockford files but it was the same thing. What great memories?. Lol
The Peck Brothers recently had the same issue with flipping around leaf springs.
You should of took the cab off your Ratback, & put in on that new 2022 Ford. The fixed the front axle. That thing is brand new. It would offroad with a lift kit & a few mods. Trailmater is a dually.
Hey I see the free truck meets the Utah DMV “cracked windshield” requirement 👍😜🇺🇸
Paul, glad you got around to acknowledging the red fuel line. How about that DOUBLE UGLY booster gauges UGLY BOX?
I always think it's funny/annoying that people here always feel they must "save the day" by pointing out the obvious, like the fuel line dangling between the tanks. As if you are just totally incompetent. You handle those folks better than I ever could. Thanks for what you do. Whenever I need motivation to get on a project I always watch your channel. It' amazing that I got anything done before youtube...lol. Again, Thanks....
You guys make having fun is to cool as long as you guys are safe an sound, may y'all be blessed an to cool for bad stuff
You guys have a lot of fun. Its good to see. Haven't seen Michelle for awhile, is she alright? She always adds another dimension to your videos. Hunter, you've got to look up the Rockford files. And if you want to work with the men, you're just going to have to eat more Wheaties. Thanks for the video.
Nice, I have that exact same jeepster Tonka truck
The Justin vs hunter challenge is a go! Heck yeah!
man i haven't heard lets do a Rockford since high school love it
Here's a tip from New Mexico. Milk is the best stuff to wash down hot stuff. NOT water or soda!
I think that those longer leaf springs will be more progressive and ride better. Maybe an expert can chime in though as I'm just guessing.
yay! someone out here who knows what a Rockford is. that's what we'd call em back east
👍 Paul it’s looking Good 👍
Hey Paul with your love for beaver nuggets maybe your going to have to be a part of the new Buc-ees when it opens in glendale Arizona.
I don’t get cutting 2 feet off the bed for what your doing but too each your own I guess check out Detroit wrecker low loader since your modifying your bed copy there bed locks there way better than anyone else’s locks
Fix a truck, break a truck, fix it again. Sounds like a business plan!
Like the instructions on the shampoo bottle, "Lather, rinse and repeat".
The "Rockford" maneuver .... was very cool!!!
nott enough diagonal measurements to make sure everything was square, just measuring front to beack on both side is a surefire method to ensure its wrong.
Paul, I'm sure there's a foot print signature somewhere that signed you up for lifetime tires and more! LOL
"Do a Rockford"...back in the day thats what me and my friends would call it when one of the guys would do that move in their junker. One friend did it in winter on a side street with cars parked on both sides of the road. He pull it off with about 6-8 inches clearance front and rear when he was totally sideways between the cars. Good times.
2 things: 1. You might have gotten yourself out of your donut attempt if you extended the bed back to get some better rear wheel traction. 2. instead of cutting a chunk out of the center of the bed would it be better to just cut it off the tail and cut a new tail once you make sure that it is long enough for anything you want to haul on it?
1 step forward 2 steps back looks good 😊
Grandma Lolly you are really awesome ❤
The jeepster toy is super cool!
Just a caution about holding a Roman candle while it fires. Back in the early 60's a friend of my brother was holding one while it fired and it blew up just above his hand. The blast was severe enough that it would have removed fingers or maimed his hand for life if his hand had been 3 inches higher. Needless to say he didn't do that again.
Just my thought I think that you should go at least 15 feet because a little longer couldn't weigh that much but I'm sure it will come in handy when you're trying to reach out and grab something and load it .
Hey there Paul.
The easiest way to through won't be so hot have some honey with it I mean after that it will make it through it won't be so hot but I would love to try some of that jerky especially the ones that supposed to be really really hot
I use to do Rockfords in driveways delivering news papers.
Nice progress on that Rat Back...
As I said earlier I have been watching all your videos and I noticed that after 2 or 3 videos I have to resubscribe
We love grandma Lolly ❤❤❤❤
