Steve when you were tapping in the toe counter you looked just like your dad sitting on the stool in your company logo, loved this video and keep em coming.
Great video. You transformed a factory made shoe (with a flaw) into a custom, handmade classic for the customer. You added strength, durability and value to the shoe. The customer most certainly got his money's worth.
OLD Leather Smith here, great job as always Steve. Just 1 suggestion, I use a blush brush 4 my soul painting you only have 2 do it once instead of 3 times, just dip the brush in your 3 different colors. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
About bird seed, I learned that using black oil sunflower seeds will bring a better variety of birds and not so many sparrows that will dominate the the seeds and keep other birds away. I learned this while recovering from a near fatal accident and enjoyed watching my feeder and sparrows driving other birds away my wife’s mom an avid bird watcher told me about it and it worked. I have watch many cobblers videos and none compare to yours I think it is because of your personality and positive attitude especially when you change your voice to imitate a troll’s comment, it cracks me up every time 👍
In my not always humble opinion, you have impeccable taste in your chosen skill. That is really impressive work Steve. On a lighter note I know sometimes you do Dad jokes. I just heard a Chuck Norris joke I hadn’t heard before. When Chuck Norris was born he drove his Mom home from the hospital. Thanks, Steve!
Not to mention that if the guy bought a new pair instead, he may end up with the same or another problem. Now he can be 100% confident that those shoes are top notch in and out because the maestro himself worked on them and gave them the thumbs up clean bill of health.
@@darensamuels5208 if you are an AE collector.... through the company they do truck shows and special collection from time to time with special builds.
Now that's my kind of rebuild! The addition of a mid-sole of substance! Love the layer of denim to bridge the gemming, and how you incorporated that into the gemming/upper/welt stitching. Very nice detail! Also love the upgrade to stacked leather and the combi top lift you put on it. The only thing missing (in my book) would be some Lulus. Gorgeous hoof-covers, even before your touch. Nice/tight spi on the stitching and the color matching bottom thread. Very nice. Trimming wheel and decorative edging work just makes it pop!! Yup, treat yourself to a nice breakfast sammich on a day you're working on a nice pair of hoof-covers! Have a pleasant Memorial Day weekend, God bless those who have loved ones who gave all, and sincere gratitude to those who gave it all.
Man i just love your work its beautiful. Your Art is genuinely top quality been watching your channel since 2017 and let me tell you something i have not seen this quality workmanship. It will be an honor to get a shoe repaired from you whenever i can afford one until then let others ultilize that
That navy blue against the polished edge of the soles and heels really has a kind of bloom rather than a pop. Very natural but still eye catching. Its how classics are born!
Allen Edmonds used to use leather toe and heel counters in their.premium shell cordovan shoes, now they switched to celastic. Same thing for the heel block, used to be stacked leather now it's compressed particle board. Things are going downhill fast. Nice shows though!
I love the way you always upgrade the material to premium leather rather than the factory fiber-board that is definitely an inferior product. Good people and men with integrity do things the right way when no one else would know the difference. Wow the extra mile making it meticulously perfect. A true artist.
I have had similar issues before, with leather work boots. The shoes are likely too long for the feet and too narrow because client needs a wider fit. Food for thought in the future...
Hardest part of being a cobbler. Tearing apart perfect shoes and unhappy customers. But this isn't no regular cobbler. This is Steve from bedo's lether works. Masterpieces come from Steve watch. Can we sharpen the blade one time Steve. Love it. Thank you for sharing with us today. As always much love and God bless.
Why would the customer not return the shoe to AE, and have them correct their mistake?? Perhaps it was damaged by the owner of the shoes?? Dunno?? I'm sure that Steve has done a far superior and professional repair !!!! Looking good.
Love how you gave a shout out to Trent and Heath, you and them are the best shoe repair TH-camrs out there, and only 2 I've been watching for years, both you guys are amazing educators for us enthusiasts, thanks for all this free content Steve you rock brother!
YES! ❤ great video Steve! I loved this. This is what I call an “old school” Bedos video. One that shows us everything in depth, but still has time for a side digression. Thank you
WOW! What a beautiful job you've done. Like Factory New, but you saved that beautiful pair of flawed Cordovan shoes. Thank you for a wonderful video! I happen to be an Allen Edmonds fan and a Collector. Cheers!
Hey Bedo! I’m sure you’ve already heard/tried this meditation for essential tremor, the beta blocker propranolol? Not trying to diagnose you or anything, but you do such great work and are such a cool dude, I can’t help but wanna help you keep cobbling for many years.
They look much better when you did that to them....they look like you made them from the start and 100 times better then the original ppl who made them
Hey Steve, glad to see a new video. Those shoes are awesome looking! Really nicely done. Those are some big dawgs too , 13’s!! Lol. I like watching those two cute southern boys occasionally 😂…they seem like great guys from a great family but when I need my shoe repair fix, I prefer the original, ruggedly handsome ‘Hammmer Time” man himself! Lol. Cheers my friend! Happy Memorial Day to you & family!
Of course I have noticed your hand tremors I have the same problem and the older I get (79) the worse they shake. Well I finally asked my doctor if there was any meds to help and she wrote me a prescription for Propranolol 3 a day and my tremors have stopped completely. Do with it what you will, love your videos.
Steve! You are the amazingly best shoe repair, dude! You are a leather artist. ❤🥰 Thanks for the great videos, Steve. ❤ And the HAMMER TIME! 🥰🥰🥰 My absolute favorite! 😊
Love the channel. You are a true master. It would be great if you consider just doing a video explaining the tools and adhesives etc. involved in your work.
Ok I just watched the master at work those are really beautiful shoes and now they really look kick ass. Oh I really like the quote of the day. I'll be using that at work...DAM GOOD JOB..
Steve when you were tapping in the toe counter you looked just like your dad sitting on the stool in your company logo, loved this video and keep em coming.
I wonder if the original dude who complained about the hammering is still watching. You’ve been torturing him for YEARS! 😂
It's hammer time.
I bet that dude was “hammered” when he complained. 😂
14 YEARS!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic work on a beautiful pair of shoes. 👍
I actually remember that video and would love to listen to the rant one more time but can’t find it. Does anyone know the title of that video?
Great video. You transformed a factory made shoe (with a flaw) into a custom, handmade classic for the customer. You added strength, durability and value to the shoe. The customer most certainly got his money's worth.

These blue AE and the Florsheim imperials are.my favorite .
It's cool the community is so small that you all.know each other

When your feet are size 13D, your choice of shoes is limited. Fixing a pair that fit well is worth the price. Great job.
Not to mention that if the guy bought a new pair instead, he may end up with the same or another problem. Now he can be 100% confident that those shoes are top notch in and out because the maestro himself worked on them and gave them the thumbs up clean bill of health.
If the shoe is still under warranty, I wonder if the manufacturer will cover Bedo’s bill. I mean he has proof that the job was well done.
Also…how often does AE even offer navy shell cordovan? These are not readily available.

Hey man! Next time you go to Panera, can you say, "Sandwich time!" 😂😂 The shoes look phenomenal, excellent work!
😎👍
41 minutes of Steve awesomeness. 👍 Just gonna kick back and chill and enjoy. Cheers from ‘Straya 😅
This isn’t a shoe repair it’s a surgery.
Also, props to Dr. Steve for swinging his leg up on the counter on the first shot. Still got it baby!

I would have never imagined I would get excited to watch a shoe repair video. Thanks Steve!
Another one! Although you couldn’t tell what you did to to the average person, those are absolutely incredible!
I've seen a lot of beautiful shoes on this channel. These are right up there with the best.
I'm glad I found your channel again! Don't know why but I got unsubscribed. Primetime hammer time back on!
Beautiful!

Absolutely!!!
Absolutely awesome craftsmanship as usual Maestro! 👌🏻
