    I struggle with men beginning to give and then they say "I can't give you what you need." And we part ways. Clearly my radar is off.

      First, we are sorry for the hurt that has caused you. This is actually a good sign you are engaging with honorable men. The challenge is men will often decide what a woman needs without verifying if that's truly the case. An honorable man, if he believes he can't provide what he *thinks* we need, will then usually end the relationship. However, there are ways to address this. The key is to identify what we genuinely need from a partner and communicate it clearly in a way that resonates and is believed by men. We highly recommend checking out our graduate level course, Understanding Love & Commitment, where we go through all of this and more - like the 12 qualities that make a woman the right person to marry. To get you started: Men pay more attention to what we are saying than we think they are. If they are interested in us for a future, they are listening from what they have in mind and whether or not your life could fit with theirs. Also they are paying attention to what you speak about the most, with enthusiasm, longing, or desire and figuring out if they can provide that for you. For example, if you talk about the places you’ve traveled, there’s a good chance they are calculating the cost of that and if they can afford to send you there again. This is all without asking you, “Do you need to travel as much in your future as you did in your past?” If you want to learn what else to pay attention to, a great place to begin, with no prerequisites, is “Dating with Distinctions” found on our website, alisonarmstrong.com - Alison's team

    You've taught me so much about myself since I've started listening to you. What's particular to me and what's common to most men. Thank you Ma'am. Looking forward to The King's Code.

    I just read part of Making Sense of Men. It makes sense to me as a man. What is interesting is that the book is not about gender. These are dualities. It's more about energy. So, some women who have a strong entrepreneur, corporate, or focused bias won't relate to it. Same with men who are more nurturing, supportive, or concerned. Our society confuses gender and energetic type. What's important today is to evolve past the gender confusion. Who are you? Be that? It's all perfect!

      Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts! Alison started studying men in 1991, she published Keys to the Kingdom in 2003, and then Making Sense of Men a few years later. A LOT has happened since then in the ways people are interacting with gender and questioning if gender differences even exist! Alison thinks there are many distinctions to make; from the ways gender hormones affect the brain and perception to the effects of a “committed state of mind” versus “an open state of mind.” Her work is never finished, as she keeps striving for empowering ways to relate to ourselves and each other with honor and respect. 💖- Alison’s Team

    This is my first time listening… I love it so far…. And “Who they are that they are”. This is very landmark-ish in the way that she’s speaking …. If you know, you know ❤

    thank you hearting my 'thank you'. yes i see myself in many of your explainations; from 'is it worth it' calculations to 'not giving answers fast enough' situations. I have taken to studying women and have come to the conclusion that if i think about it i won't be fast enough. so what i have decided to do is 'make nice', don't raise my voice and think repeatedly before i speak. These simple concepts are sufficent - i hope - to be liveable with. i am working on the concept of smile-ing. Thanks to you i think even 'sense' I am progressing. I did recently buy a snap connector cowboy shirt. haha. I am hideing it because of the redicule I have gotten for showing it.

    Hi Alison, Is there ever a lost cause? A hopeless man? I mean in the case when he loves the woman, he cares, and she applies your teachings and brings the feminine energy, can he still be hopelessly unresponsive and passive and not willing?

    • @AlisonArmstrongVideos
      @AlisonArmstrongVideos  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The short answer would be "Yes". But Alison is not known for short answers...
      Alison's study of men began in 1991 with the question, "What IF men are responding to women?" She discovered, for example, the stages of development as something that affects men and is not a reaction to women. There are many cases of this, like Single Focus and how they experience support and appreciation. While it's not always good news to find out it may have nothing to do with you; it can set you free. Alison always emphasizes that, no matter the cause, it comes down to whether or not you are being treated in a way that you are better off having this person in your life, or not better off. - Alison's Team
      (The stages of development are taught in The Amazing Development of Men, available at alisonarmstrong.com)

      Thank you for commenting! We have a very popular program called Dating with Distinctions that can help you sort more effectively so you’re not showing up for a first date with hopes for a romantic future and he’s showing up with hopes for a romantic “encounter”. In the first session of Dating with Distinctions, Alison teaches the effects of “too much chemistry” on men and women. She also teaches how to find out if someone actually cares about you before you even meet them in person. Good News: Dating with Distinctions and all of Alison’s products at alisonarmstrong.com are currently 45% off through December 2! 🤗- Alison’s Team
