I used pre stretched elastic cord. It's flat, so I doubled it.

Thank you. I use thin flat pre-stretched elastic so I like to double it to give it enough thickness for the bead weight. Mind you not all elastic needs to be doubled. I suggest you experiment with different sizes and what you can find and then you will find what suits you and the project,

Caroline, the size of the elastic depends on the size and weight of the bead and the size of the hole in the bead.
