Dude, just found your channel, and I like it! Any man who has the patience to finish a good cup of coffee, knowing the fish are out there, and just be a straight up philosopher on bank fishing the boat ramps, is my kinda man
love your channel, been binge watching for the last few afternoons.. guy with a good sense of humor, who can flat out pull monsters out of the water...very entertaining
Our 8 month old grandson loves watching Catfish Dave. When you let out a, "WHOOOO" he gives out one of his own and then laughs. He is going to be a catfishing fool like his grandpa.
Lol, getting all hopped up on coffee you almost lost your step. Well done sir. Thanks for sharing this with us. I was just outside of Montgomery bumping with frozen skip jack and landed a 7lbs striped bass. It was the darnedest thing. Dang 4mph current, 40ft depth and the line shot down river, made a circle and went under the boat. Always a lot of fun throwing bait, and seeing what you get when landed.
GREAT VIDEO! "Dag blasted fish with the stripes on the side"... LOL.. most people target those stripers.. you treat them like carp. lol.. love it. Love the bluegrass music as well. Keep the great videos coming!
Hey there Buddy ! Now that is one fine trophy fish you caught there every bit 32 36 pounds ! I been trying all my life to catch that fish and you pretty much wiped your butt with it and tossed it back . lol good job though great video .
Love that st Croix classic rod i have one a 6 foot 6 from the late 90s can dead lift 70lbs paid $130 i see them on eBay for $600 the best cat rod ever made Knoxville is so beautiful and awesome catfishing
Did a Catfish Dave tribute on our facebook group, Country Ghetto Catfishing. Check it out. Although I generally fish from a boat you inspired me to get a surf rod. You really know catfishing. Best educator on the subject. Next time I order something through Amazon. I'll go through you to support your videos. Tight lines.
Gotta love catfish dave, hes takes fishing to the proper level. He has fun and that's what it's all about.. Im glad to say hes slowly become my fishing hero.... thanks dave!! PS can you play the cotton eye joe on your next video, that would be grand, your pal from Central Cal.
I fish with an airport in front and behind me on the Feather River near Yuba City in NORCAL. I caught a 38” striper last week on a live minnow from the bank. Just ate the first piece an hour ago.
Look at 13:35. And Dave jumped up on Hickory stump said "boy, let me tell you what, I'll bet you didn't know it but I'm a cat fisherman too and though I didn't bring a chair I can fish here to."
I'm in Washington state and only certain lake and rivers allow you to fish 2 poles. You got 3 poles in the water at the same time 👍. It a $108 fine for every poles your using if you get caught
@@Betterdaysfishing that freaking awesome! Are waters here has lots of endanger species like Sturgeon and Salmon's that are restricted with gears and tackle we can use that why we're only allow 1 pole except for certain lakes you can fish 2 poles. Are fishing licenses are expensive too with all the extra endorsements you have to buy if you want shellfish, 2 poles, and a Columbia river endorsements to fish Salmon's and Sturgeon's
Ha ha ha ,,,,, I come home from catching bait and here’s what I see ,, cat fish Dave on a stump ,,, you are the king of that throne dave ,,, catch a big one.
Your videos are awesome. When I start making videos, I want them to be set up just like your videos. Just something you could try. Whenever the current is too strong, try loosening the drag and using the clicker without using free spool. That may sound weird but, it works.
@@GPTInDaHouse I think those are a close second and third. Been years since I tried either one. I know I caught a Sauger 2 years ago ..my first one ever, and my father did a fillet job on it immediately and put it on ice. He said those sauger were right up there with rockfish/striper on taste. It was my first sauger and was about 2lbs or a bit more. I haven't caught one since. Next trip out will be an Umbrella/Alabama rig for my 1st time too. Gonna try to catch some of those striper.

That would make a good song (Devil Comes Down to Knoxville) you know Dave would win & the devil would wind up with the 75yr old toothless gal.
