The ExquizOn P8I projector is really small and has a very nice look.
The overall appearance is qualitative and gives a good impression in hand.
Use level, it is easy to access and does as expected what is asked.
The P8I projector is virtually silent and does not take up space. I also like the fact that Keystone is automatic (for adjusting the trapezoid of the image)
The startup is fast, it is operational after 20 seconds.
For operation, there are two possibilities:
- Either it is autonomous with the integrated battery that it has internally (with a range of about 1h30 / 2h00)
- Either it is possible to connect it with an AC adapter that is included
I find it convenient to have both possibilities according to the needs that we have and that we wish to make.
At the start of the P8I, we get a revisited Android menu that is easily controlled on the remote. The shortcuts are present on the home page to access the applications that are needed.
This video projector has several functions (it is not just a video projector)
He can therefore:
- Project in a classic way by connecting a source in HDMI (DVD / TNT / console or others ..)
- Read USB keys / HDD and display the content directly on the screen.
- Read Micro SD cards
- Being totally autonomous with Android integrated inside (with the basic applications or those that we install with the Play Store such as Kodi, Molotov TV, TH-cam .....)
Regarding the hardware part, the projector P8I is of course Wifi to connect to the network.
the image is clear, despite a resolution in 480P, it remains compatible with files up to 1080P in reading.
The rendering is good and the colors are well respected.
The bulb is LED type which ensures a long life. At startup we see the logo DLP Texas Instrument.
The further you put the projector, the bigger the image, the less luminous it is (which is normal in itself)
The adjustment of the focus (sharpness) is made from a wheel on the left side of the device, easy to access. this wheel is very sensitive and the adjustment is meticulous.
The sound is present and useful for basic use. Personally I find it a little too much in the mediums / medium high but it is the job, I favor the use of a soundbar to watch my movies, the comfort sound is important for me in the immersion of the watched video (a 3.5 Jack jack is present on the projector).
It also has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage that hosts Android on the projector.
On the underside of the projector, a thread is present. It is in the classic format to put a tripod or mini tripod. In the package, there is a mini tripod included.

They have the same resolution and the same brightness both.
Personally I prefer the p8I because:
- It has 2 USB ports (only one on the C800)
- Android is version 7 (instead of 4.4 on the C800)

Ciao, spero di sbagliarmi ma ho notato che il ricevitore del segnale del telecomando è posto nella parte posteriore del proiettore e a meno che il proiettore non sia posizionato davanti quindi non alle spalle non riceve il segnale per comandarlo. È così o sbaglio qualcosa? Grazie in anticipo

How much memory is available for installing apps? It seems there was less than 1gb for installing apps am I correct?

On the ExquizOn P8I, there is about 4GB of free space to install the applications you want.
It is also possible to put a micro SD (as on Android smartphones) to increase the space.

Was the playstore installed on your unit an outdated version??? I got mine this week and the playstore version is very old. Did you have to update your playstore version, and what is the maximum sd card allowed on this unit? 32 or 64gb? Thanks

Yes it is normal to update the Play store (there are updates often for that, it was also my case and no problem on my side)

Ok, donc si c'est le P8, alors c'est normal que tu ais Android en version 4.4
Je pense que le P8 est la génération qui est sorti avant le P8i..
Je ne suis pas sur qu'il y aura une mise à jour de version pour ce projecteur. (comme souvent sur les appareils chinois..) ils préfèrent sortir directement un nouvel appareil.

J'ai un ecran bleu avec "No Signal" qui s'affiche en permanance.
meme quand je branche un USB de 16GB avec des films, rien. En branchant un USB à mon ordi, rien.

Normalement le no signal c'est quand le vidéoprojecteur attend une source HDMI par exemple.
Il faut passer en mode usb pour qu'il prenne en charge la clé usb ou disque dur (mais pas le PC en direct, ce n'est pas possible)

it's from memory because I no longer have the projector with me ..
As it is from android, there is normally the airplane mode.
Always is that the airplane mode is a shortcut to cut the wifi and bluetooth (for smartphones it also cuts the phone connection)
So if the airplane mode shortcut is not present, just switch off the wifi and bluetooth to have the same result.
