    £8 for that.. Should only be £4 - £5. Two of everything then 8 quid. Every corner you turn these days we just get ripped off. When’s the last time someone said “That’s good value for your money” think those days are gone.

    Hi lee I used to work for Morrison’s as a manager over 20 year ago when it was a Yorkshire company! It’s not the same anymore! I have to tell you a story, Mr M visited our store in tynemouth, apparently he had a bit of a thing for young women! He came and met me and he run his hands through my hair! I have always had a thing for my hair and the store manager was standing behind him indicating don’t comment don’t say anything, I was nearly snarling through my smile! Got to give that breakfast 7.5 but Morrison’s have gone way back, not the same not a Yorkshire company anymore! X

    Its 2:45am and I fancy a cooked breakfast in the morning, but can't be bothered to cook it. Hence checking it out on here to see what Tesco is like. Just in case you wondered why I was here.

    Bacon looked awful. One of my biggest bugbears with breakfast in pubs etc is getting your coffee or tea as you get served. Always finished or cold by the time breakfast arrives. This is where spoons wins. Just get unlimited tea or coffee.

    When it comes to a Full English Breakfast in a supermarket cafe Tesco are far and away the best..and this one's no exception.
    I give it 9 out of 10.

    I would agree that Morrisons used to do the better of the supermaket breakfasts... not so much nowadays.. I will however try another store as they do differ.
    Holyhead Morrisons in Anglessy several years ago was the best I personally tried.

    Morrisons breakfast are way better than Tesco. All our produce gets sent in for us and if we run out we can get it from the shop floor and in regards to running out of ketchup the same applies to that we can get it from shop floor . We've started to do fried bread again

    Actually the Tesco's Full English Breakfast looked better than not only Morrisons but a few others you have partaken of over the past few months. The only two items on the plate which were not totally up to par were, the tinned tomatoes which looked a little scrawny and dry and the other the bacon which was slightly under cooked, it could have been cooked about 5 minutes longer to make the fatty ends go crispy. Apart from that the rest looked very eatible and as you said it was hot and that is probably why it took 20 minutes because they cooked it from scratch rather than keep the bacon, eggs etc., in a warming tray which does not improve the quality of the food one bit.
    I would give this an 8.4/10.

    It's been a while since I saw a café in a Tesco so this was a treat.
    I remember them using Tesco products in their cafés of past and it looks like they still do. The bacon looks like their basic Stockwell's range of bacon.
    As for the length of time, it appears they cook to order as footfall is low. Nothing apart from the bread and egg is fried so you're looking at 20 mins for the sausage and hash browns alone of done in an oven.

  • @LoganScottY

    I used to love a Tesco breakfast, though that was way back in 2005 when I was but a slip of a lad. Back then you had to pay for each individual item so it was a ‘make your own’. Couldn’t tell you what the breakfasts are like now though as these days that same Tesco has long since done away with their cafe and installed a Costa Coffee instead. I did used to love getting these Tesco breakfasts with my mate. Back then I would eat owt!

  • @sarakirk9542
    @sarakirk9542 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hiya Lee! You are very lucky to have a Tesco that still has a normal cafe attached. Our Bury store and the ones I have been in seemed to have switched over to Costa Coffees 😢 I used to love going in Tesco for a breakfast back when too. All of that looked good although the hash browns could’ve been more well done for me. Don’t like more than one either. Sausage and bacon a bit pale but okay. Egg I quite like crispy sides to them. I’d have picked a fresh tomato to tinned and beans you got a fair amount so that’s a thumbs up for me. Also they were on the plate and not in a dish unlike Morrisons. I have sampled Sainsburys breaksfasts and hope you can get a decent full English as since lockdown their menu has been reduced. I find sainsburys the most expensive for breakfast but it’s good quality and piping hot. Not as keen on Asdas breakfasts as I’ve gotten just warm enough food so has put me off a bit going back. Can’t disagree on the amount you can get for price. See what you think. Solid 8.4 from me on Tescos breakfast

    I agree with you it's an 8 out of 10 personally I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time for the food then you know it's done to order rather than been kept warm for hours as is the case with a lot of places. Why not try the Larch Farm at Ravenshead they claim to serve fresh fish from Grimsby and homemade chips could be right up your street.

    Terrific review and you're dead right! The breakfasts served in supermarket restaurants should EXACTLY reflect the quality of food available in the store. As should the quality of service, usually exemplary in Tesco and Waitrose. Not so Lidl, Sainsbury, Morrisons (if you can find an assistant to ask!).
    This Tesco breakfast looks great, and offers you CHOICE (black pudding, fresh or tinned tomatoes, fried bread, proper flat mushrooms-now you're talkin'!). To me that looked proper bacon, needs fat for flavour.
    I'd give that a strong 9/10 for the money. Tesco are doing deservedly well, shows communication from the director right down to the humble shelf-stacker, then onto the customer.
    My only gripe? I hate sauce sachets, and have on occasion fetched a new bottle of sauce from the store to put on my breakfast.

    When in London try "Chutneys" on Drummond street round the corner from Euston Station. They do a lunch time all you can eat Buffet for £10-00. If you ever get to Manchester try "Armstrongs" Fish and Chips on Bury Old Rd. Excellent food and big portions. Just a point. Can you please give the road/street that the venues are on in the UK? The "Rate my Takeaway" guy is just the same. We are told the name and town of the venue but not the road/street. Then we would know the exact location if we want to visit. Not all of them have a web site.

    Right then Mr.MacMaster I would say, based on your video, its a 7 from me.The reason being is that for some reason many establishments, whether it's hotels, restaurants, cafes or supermarket cafes, they dont cook the sausage all the way round. They just brown one thin slither of it and the rest looks raw. Your sausage (and I mean the one on your plate!) was exactly like that whereby only a thin section/ slither looked cooked and the rest was raw. I've experienced this many times myself with hotel breakfasts. Most of the sausage is not properly cooked and it ruins it for me. So im surprised you didnt notice it. To me the rest of your lovely brekkie looked fine. Also a 20 minute wait or so is about the standard these days for a supermarket cafe. As usual you did a good review Mr MacMaster. But if you could please look out for partly done sauages in your future reviews I would be grateful. Cheers.

  • @lesliecarter8322
    @lesliecarter8322 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A decent and quality brekkie for 8 quid. At least waiting 20 minutes it was probably all cooked fresh and not stuck in the bain marie under lights. I thought it average size and another sausage would have been good, also bit more tomato and a few more beanz meanz heinz, lol. At the end of the day irrespective of the venue it is the person doing the cooking who makes the difference. To me it looked like Tesco had a decent cook in there. A solid 8/10. Keep up the good work m'duck.

    That Tesco Full English Breakfast, looked quite a decent effort to me Lee... Personally i'd like to see a second Sausage, and more Tomatoes on the plate... The Egg and Baked Beans looked good too, as did the Bacon and Mushroom... (I don't mind a little fat on my Bacon)... But the star of the show, was that Fried Bread... I was mentally giving you a slap on the wrists for leaving half of it mate... 😆 The Tesco Sausage looked much better than the Morrison Sausage... Before you'd even cut into it, you could see the seasoning speckled through the Sausage casing itself... (Always a good sign of quality)... Also a bonus... you got both HP Sauce... and Heinz Tomato Ketchup sachets... The Coffee looked perfectly fine to me... And the fact that it wasn't very busy, and you still waited about twenty minutes or so, wasn't such a bad thing really... as you'll have had a good idea that it's all being cooked fresh to order... So i'm going to give it the same score as you did Lee... a solid 8/10... Nice one Tesco, a terrific effort all-round... Thanks for the review Lee... All the best... Cheers mate. 🍺

    I won't mention what company I worth for. But let's just say it begins with a T and ends in O lol. A while back I got myself an Inui powerbank for my phone and it includes a piece that pulls put and acts as a stand do that when your charging your phone you can watch the stuff on your phone. That might solve your problem of the phone falling down.

    I know you're about to jet off to the States, but just just other side of Newark is a town called Sleaford, its full of traditional cafes and there's a couple of award winning chippys. Sunny's Plaice is the one where locals in the know go to, and of course there is a SPOONS (Packhorse) where you can test the consistency of the chain's fayre. The Agra Indian restaurant is also a local favourite, but there are a couple of over priced places which would make good videos I think. The Jolly Scotchman is a Greene King pub, its expensive and the food has been tragic for years. Fillets is a chippy that used to be good but is now in different hands and the food literally sucks. Same for Scoffers.
    Hit me up if you ever fancy some dining company 😋

    You must try a asda then a sainsbury breakfast to carry the trend off mate
    Totally agree since the lockdown morrisons have ruined they breakfasts we don't bother now prefer a greggs breakfast baguette with Bacon sausage and egg in it with a latte just under £4

    Under cooked bacon is a problem with a lot of breakfasts if you had a poll how do people like there bacon 🥓 be 80 percent well done that would put loads of people on the door . Some of them under done could get the vet to revive it 7 from Me

    Eight quid ? You’ve been robbed one small sausage a handful a beans one bit a scabby bacon. No wonder tesco profits are soaring every year to biblical proportions 🤣

    Morrisons increased the price of a portion of chips from £1 six months ago to £1.50, now they are £1.75. Cafe at my local liskeard branch is shocking quality too. Must be a national issue, quality wise.

    Rind on bacon raw!, nice to see fried bread for a change. Egg overcooked around the outside as I don’t like crispy edges. 8/10
