Work in the industry (sales). I used to work as an engineer so I also have a pretty good idea about construction and manufacturing techniques. I’ve got both the SR 10 and The corsair, and I have had many others. As a piece of design and functionality, the above mentioned helmets I believe are the best. Points to the SR 10 for its unbelievable performance, and points to the corsair for still being the absolute bar, upon which all others are judged. Not to mention, it’s just as good as anything else as it is as racing.
I have the Alpinestars, I like it but there is a lot af plastic inside that could be better for that price, its more silent than the AGV and my previous Scorpion Exo 1400, also on high speeds the Alpinestars SR10 stays perfectly in place, couldn't say that about the EXO 1400, but I think that the shoei Xspr-Pro is better choice for the price.
Very fair judgement, we've got a top 10 race helmets of 2025 video on the way, it's got all the info you need to know exactly what helmet suits you best. Subscribe to get notified when it drops 💪
@@TrainsOnGoPro crucially, they were both designed by Alpinestars in Europe, and the parts and material are sourced there as well. If manufacturers do their homework and find the correct assembly plant, being made in China isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Besides, some of the most high-quality stuff that we all use on a daily basis, it is also done that way.
@@TrainsOnGoPro frankly, I think most helmets should be a little bit cheaper, regardless of the cost of labor. I work in the industry and can tell you with certainty that most retailers will sell an arai corsair x for typically 925-ish dollars us. It will cost a place like CycleGear $325. Profit margins are massive in the helmet game.
Alpinestars loud as hell and get you vibrating noises. Overprised garbage. Have not use it since i bought it more than 40km. I go for Arai there are no issuies. 😢
@@jmx318clearly u don’t ride hard enough alponestars is complete garbage and the warranty dept sucks. U should buy a pair of alpinestars boots with zippers
