Sadly with Android it’s an imperfect experience. Steam Deck seems to work flawlessly as SteamOS has controller support. Ideally you would want a “Flip to Android TV mode” built in
Did you find that you had push down really hard on your RP4 to get it to connect? On my RP Mini, I have to push down really deep for the dock to detect my device and show up on my monitor.
@@thegamelounge659 thank you, I wanted to make sure I didn't receive a bad unit. Also a little inconvenience like you said not being able to use it with the grip/case
Hey Tony, to be honest functionality wise not really. It’s more of an Android issue than an issue with the dock. The biggest concern here is the USB-C connector. I guess the ODIN 2 Dock is probably better but it is double the price. I may pick it up
I think it’s more Bluetooth input lag to the device itself. I’m quite sensitive to it.i tried a 2.4ghz controller and it was significantly better, that was connected to the dock
Hi. I received my Retroid dock yesterday. I use the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. For some reason, every time I plug in the console, it starts speeding up the fan, and that worries me a bit. Did this happen to you too? What power supply do you use for the dock?
I have a micro HDMI to HDMI cable and all I have to do is plug the cable to the top of my Retroid Pocket 4 pro and connect the HDMI to the back of my TV.
I had no idea there would be so much to a dock. I’d expect it to be plug and play

Yes I had the same issues. You will see in the video it is a little stiff and it always feels wrong to “Force” components

Any other docks that work better? In regard to input lag and overall ease of use? Thanks for the video! 🍻🤘🏼

Did the inputlag come from the dock or from the Retroid Pocket itself?

@thegamelounge659 I have an 8bito Pro 2 controller that's Bluetooth. But I'll connect it with a Usb cable then. Thanks for the advice.

Can’t say it is something I have remembered. What mode do you have the console on?
@@thegamelounge659 High performance
I think that’s fairly normal then, I find the fan kicks in a lot on that mode. It’s also quite loud.
This dock works with Nintendo Switch ?
It does work, although no where near as good as the standard switch dock
@thegamelounge659 thanks, I've an original, but I'll get a rp5 soon
So, a USB-C to HDMI is better than this dock?
There are pros and cons to be honest. The additional connectivity helps the doc. But I worry about the connection

I think for now that’s probably the best solution for these systems. Cheaper as well.
anyone else loose audio over their USBC (hdmi) from this?
No issues my side. Not sure if anyone else having problems
