Building City Scale Neural Radiance Fields for Autonomous Driving

  • Recent advancements in neural rendering have shown great promise in using neural networks to represent 3D scenes more efficiently and robustly. We’re using this technique to automatically generate photorealistic 3D worlds and scenarios from real-world driving data. Here we share our experience building a pipeline for constructing neural radiance fields (NeRFs) at a city scale.

    You should release the driving simulator to the public as a game! It would be so fun to just drive around virtually and explore. It could replace Google Street View.

    Thank you, please keep these coming, it's really excellent Wayve is London-based. Look forward to more content like this, as well as non-technical demos. So far those have been tightly controlled and cherry picked, it would be great to have much longer uncut videos.
