These are awesome. I am just getting into drones and will need them for work. Videos like this have really helped me to understand what I need to be striving for for clients. Thanks again.
I have used PD several years ago and loved it. Now with having an M2P its time to get back into learning video editing again. Loved this video. Waiting for more tutorials using PD.
Thanks for this. It is exactly what I have been looking for and yes, I would love to see more! Especially more about adjusting exposure and color in post.
Great video Russ, I just got my first drone last weekend (DJI Mavic 3 Classic) and have been watching your videos for a few weeks and you were even one of the people who helped me choose this drone. This video has helped me alot because this software looks reletavely simple to use because I have absolutely no editing experience. I see this video is from 2019, so I believe there will now be more updated versions of this but I will have a look for the most recent and hope it is still as simple to use. I will lookout for any further videos you may have posted on this topic. Keep up the good work.
Yes please, Russ! I liked your video so much I not only subscribed to your channel, but have made the leap and ordered CyberLink Power Director as well! More tutorials would be awesome like a possum!
Thank you for the nice review of this program. Yours is the 3rd recommendation I have heard in a week for PowerDirector so yes, more tutorials would be good.
Your Mavic Mini video led this to me. Would love to see more content like this. Wife and son were impressed with the free app on the DJI fly app. This can be a great tool and can open up so many more opportunities. Thanks Russ!
Russ love it, yes do more in this program on please slow down! Most of us are watching this on our phones so we can follow along on our computers. It's very small on my phone. Love the videos either way
Russ, this tutorial is quite timely for me. I've been contemplating getting into editing for some time, but I've been putting it off. Your style is very real and informative, so I would definitely appreciate additional content relating to editing.
Yes more videos on PD showing effects and any tricks that you've found to add polish to video production. I am sure there are many folks that are Pro's at this but as a beginner I found it extremely helpful.
Hey Russ... please bring more content like this... loved it, and also the quality on your phone was awesome. Well done. Showing that anyone can create... hey from Australia 🇦🇺
Great tips! I use DeVinci Resolve it is completely free to download, it is fully featured and is being constantly developed, the latest version is v16. It looks quite complicated at first but it takes a bit of time to navigate the program and learn to edit but there are lots of step by step tutorials on youtube.👍😎
Yes Russ I have had the program for over a year and I think it is a great middle of the road editor, there is probably a lot that I dont understand so I would be happy to learn more of the intermediate functions of PD, also understand that PD 18 was released a couple of days ago.
Hey Russ! Because of you and others like you, I have gaining the hobby and passion for drones and videography! I've bought a Mavic Mini and also recently purchased PowerDirector 360. I would love to see more content on the behind the scenes type of stuff, like how you edit your videos. However, I don't want you to go too far often the beaten path of drones themselves. Thanks!
You are a great teacher very helpful considering I'm trying to learn power director to edit my drone footage. I genuinely can't believe you were using a mobile phone to record yourself in the studio - super super clear. Thumbs up from me.
Ok, so now I think I finally have a handle on the editing thing. Yes I would enjoy seeing more of this content I do have tons of video to make. Thanks for such a helpful tutorial.
I definitely wanna see more tutorials for PowerDirector. I've been using it for a couple of years & love it, but I'm sure there's so much more I could learn about it. Good job 👍🏼
Great stuff Russ. Been using Cyberlink since v15. Not a fan of subscription based licenses, and just bought v17 at a great price while they work out the bugs of the new v18! Keep it up sir, love your content.
The quality to me is very good! Lot of people are viewing on their phone anyway its definitely fine for that! Im glad you told us cuz Ive done a lot of Videos with a Fantastic camera in a Smartphone!!
I've been using Cyberlink Director suite for a couple years. I find it does everything I need without being to complicated. I'm always interested in learning new ways to use this editor.
I also use Power Director but I think I'm still on version 13. Save your work often and every so often rename the project file in case a project becomes hopelessly corrupted you can go back to a previous version.
Thanks for the tutorial, I’ve been using I Movie because it is easy to use but lacks the ability to be creative. This program will definitely be an improvement. Please post more editing videos.
I just bought Power Director 19 that is similar and would love to see more video help in using this. My background is that I used to make and edit 3D videos many years ago but forgot all. I am 75 and an ex Nam Navy Pilot Instructor on A7s, again too many years ago.
I would love to see more videos. I'm an IT guy, but not so much a video guy. I just purchased my first drone (Mavic Mini) and need to get somewhat proficient with this to make decent videos of the grand kids on vacation for the family to enjoy.
Russ, GREAT JOB on giving us a good overview of Cyberlink's Power Director. I'm just getting into drone videography and photography and have been learning to use PD-16. The products are awesome. I am also using Cyberlink's Photo Director (great tool), Audio Director and WaveEditor. I would definitely like to see you add more tutorial videos on Cyberlink products. I think you will get a high subscription rate. Thanks again for your ALL videos. One of your subscribers!
Thanks for doing this. I just started editing videos and putting them on YT in April of this year. When I found out my old system was not quite adequate I bought a new Dell that is and it came with PD for Dell installed and I started using it. I immediately fell in love. It is easy to use, very intuitive to me and the FAST rendering/produce modes are fantastic!👍 I am still just scratching the surface of this editor but seem to find something new each time I use it. My wife just recently bought herself a new Dell laptop and I suggested she go ahead and have them install PD 17 on it from the get go at a special price so if she ever gets into editing her own videos, I will be on the same page she is. I just shared this with her and although I have not finished watching it myself, I feel you will do a good job explaining things. You always do.👌👌Now I'll get back to viewing and we'll see if you foul anything up.😮😁You did fine.👌👍I can use the pause button and let you know right now from me and Miss Bly that yes, we want more tutorials on CL PD17 and it is irrelevant to me whether others do or not.😉😂
Thanks Russ, interesting. I think I still have Cyberlink PowerDirector (earlier version). However as yet I've not installed any video editing on my newish PC. I have a question you may be able to help me with:- Have you any experience in video capture cards?. In my olde PC I have a Pinnacle capture card (RCA & S video input, 3.5mm audio). That's running W7 pro. My new PC (W10 pro 64Gb ram i9 quad core 2080 graphics card) as yet has no capture card. But I need both analogue (maybe hi res S socket & audio?) and some way of inputting 4k from a future drone & action cam. Can you advise what to look at perhaps??. Many thanks and really learning quite a lot from your great videos.
You can do this for free with OpenShot. If you're more advanced you can use Shotcut, also free. TH-cam also has royalty free music when you're in TH-cam Studio.
Great video, Yes Make some more tutorials please. I purchased this a few months ago so I'm still learning. Thanks, this came just in time as I am trying to make my first real drone video.
Hi Russ Thanks for the hand at helping 👍. Lived Hour away DELLS. Lot of fun. Now live in Michigan. But we still have a lot of fun thinhgs to fly here. Have a Great Week 👍🦅
iPad Pro and LumaFusion is a great editing solution! Renders that 4K footage like butter. If you don t have a powerful PC/Mac and you have a iPad or iPhone 7 or better. Luma fusion is where it is at.
Great presentation. Would be nice with more on how to use the program. Also what you look for when cutting. Do you cut before a person enters the frame or after? How long should the clip be for a sports video and for a senic video and so on 😁
Hey Russ thank you for sharing. I would also recommend to your viewers LumaFusion this is really inexpensive and easy to use. It cost me $20.00 and it has a ton of features.
Russ, I think your video/sound setup looks/sounds terrific today. I’d like to add that I’d like to see more video tutorials on using CyberLink and video editing. Thanks for what you do.
I would find a more in depth review of this, I use it but only using the most basic features. Thanks for the effort kind sir. Your videos are always useful. 🤙
Really useful video, Russ...and yes, I would like to see how to achieve more complex effects. I'm using PD v16 and have figured out quite a bit for myself, but videos like yours and Maliek's at PD University save the rest of us a great deal of time and head-scratching.
Hi Russ, been using Power Director almost from the beginning of time, still have Media Suite spinning on my drive. I just upgraded to PD 18 yesterday and then say you video. I have tried most of the editing software programs out there including Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Pinnacle studio and others but keep coming back to Power Director. For me all the other's would not play some 4K and 5K videos with out rendering first to a lower resolution. With PD you can bring in your clips "fast" and will play every time. I had clips from my Osmo Pocket and Action camera where Adobe Premiere Pro would not play back correctly with out have to take the time to render the clips. Anyway you can't to wrong with PD..
Thanks for your videos ..8m a brand new pilot so I'll take what ver video you make for new people..also what kind of computer are you using for editing
Thanks for the shout out. Happy to be a in the first part of the group.
Robert
Yes please, Russ! I'd love to see more indepth PD tutorials 😎
These are awesome. I am just getting into drones and will need them for work. Videos like this have really helped me to understand what I need to be striving for for clients. Thanks again.
I have been using Power Director for a few years now and this was still a good refresher. Great Job, keep the Power Directors coming.
Thanks dude. Just committed to PD 17 a week ago. Planned on holing up with it this winter so yes, keep them coming!
I’ve been using PD for a few months and all this time I’ve been using split to trim the video, now I know about pre-cut! way better Thank you Russ.
Yes. More videos like this. I have a lot of video and no clue on how to edit them. Been trying to use Resolve, but this looks easier.
Yes please, more videos can only help to increase the learning curve of editing.
Just what I've been waiting for! Thanks, and I would very much like to see you expand on more tips and tricks for editing drone footage for beginners.
Yes, I would watch all the editing videos you make. This is just what I'm looking for!
I have used PD several years ago and loved it. Now with having an M2P its time to get back into learning video editing again. Loved this video. Waiting for more tutorials using PD.
