- Just released by Tamiya, the stunning looking 1/10th RC race car Tom's GT Supra. I have been looking for a body that would be perfect for my MST drift car and when I found out Tamiya was going to release this beauty in July 2022, I just had to get one for it. In this video, we unbox the kit and take a look at what you get for the money.

You are the best youtuber I know ❣️ the energy, the joy and all videoes are educational ❤️ and I must say the new Supra looks just amazing ❤️ it has some inspired lines of the Ferrari 250 GT0 👍❣️❤️
Looking forward to your drift build Gav I’ve got a supra body set for mine 😀
The Japanese Super GT series is the best racing world wide hands down
That's a beauty. Even with adding the price of oil shocks and bearings, these kits are a great bargain in a hobby grade rc car that offers that great Tamiya build experience.
It's the price of the PS paint that is what will upset you. Lol.
The motors do get very hot in these. With the low slung, form fitting bodies, there's virtually no airflow over the motor at all and even a stock motor gets crazy hot. I run mine with 2s2p lithium ion packs. (8.4v and 6000mah sony vt6 cells) this gives over an hour of run time per charge which is great but boy that motor gets hot!
Cheers.
In the TT-02, I’ve never really experienced mg motors getting super hot. But then again, I run heat sinks on mine and I run indoors. If you DO run hot with one, my only suggestion is to use an aluminum motor mount, heat sink or a motor mounted fan.
Not too sure about the airflow in the RMX-D but I would assume the same kind of mods could benefit the RMX-D as it would the TT-02.
Awesome and can't wait for this......just wish you put out more video in all honesty. Been of sick all week with Covid symptoms (I dare not test) and feel that there could be more.....just saying 😁😁
I wish I could but it’s just me doing everything so I can’t do much more. One day I’ll have a build helper and an editor as well as a web person and we can make more content faster but until that day. I would also like to make more high quality content but that takes time and money.
@@RCKickschannel always the best content on TH-cam
See Gav, that’s my only gripe about Tamiya at the moment. They’re producing such amazing body sets that are highly detailed and look great painted up. However, in order to get them, you have to buy a full chassis set.
I know the stigma of the TT-02 because I’ve already built two of them and frankly, I don’t want to build another chassis JUST for any of the bodies I want like the new Super GT Fairlady Z, which replaces the former GT-R in the racing series and in kit form.
Just my gripes but hoping that eventually Tamiya release replacement body sets with the new Z, GR Supra and the re-release Evo. 5.
Yes, you can get the Quality RC reproduction bodies but it’s not the same.
Bear in mind - Tamiya's TT series is : "buy body shell, with chassis free"
This would look good on my TA02
It’s a nice looking Body Gav 😎
Yep it’s a nice one. Loads of work mind to get it done lol
@@RCKickschannel yes, but all worth it when you finish them
I was already put off by the tt02, but still watched to the end.
I really wish that Tamiya would make body sets more readily available. Maybe with a tub the body can rest on and attach the wheels to? So it looks like a built up kit for display without having to buy a full TT02 chassis.
I’ve seen a load of people making wheel and body stands online. I’m sure I’ve seen some for sale on eBay
It is a great looking body and the details on the body are amazing. That's a lot of decals and window mask. I am interested to see how you do drifting the car. I have never done it. It appears to be a whole different skill set. Are you going to take it to a drift track?
That is one sweet looking body, looking forward to seeing it done. I wont be getting one, i only do buggys 😎
Nice video :) it’s a cracking body and for me as good as the gt40 they did not long back. Japanese cars just aren’t my thing, I’m waiting on the Senna when that gets to our shores ;)
Yep the Senna is going to be a nice one. I’m thinking of putting it on my TC-01
Looks like I need a TT02.
Do you plan on getting the Senna kit off the tc chassis
That looks awesome question where do you get those frames from?
Do you know the Tamiya part number for the H wing set??? can't find it anywhere :) Thanks
I checked the body manual and it just comes back as H Tree
@@RCKickschannel Thanks for trying... would be a sweet wing for a drift car... then again the whole Supra body would be a cool drift rig. Cheers !!!
I haven’t built one yet which model do you think is the easiest one to get started with
TT02 is a good place to start. Check this out th-cam.com/video/U35k0E6NM7k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WAgg5CxaAt2Wbhj1
Hey man can u do some reviews about this and how to paint the body
Niiiice!
I have built a tt02b, i assume the non b is quite similar
Yep just the arms and towers are a bit different
It looks fantastic but all those stickers... I love the tremendous details and the look of them but I am still not over doing the GT MKII kit and all those tedious stickers!! When the sticker count goes over the 70-80 count on the kit I start second guessing if I was to devote that much time and effort into something that if it rolls for any reason is all going to be chewed to pieces!
Try a Tamiya Fat Fox OMG!
It is possible if the supra body apply to xv-01 chassis?
Not really a rally body
@@RCKickschannel well, thank youu
Its going to look mint..just not sure if the chrome rims will look right against the orange body.. 🤔...👍🇬🇧😎
I will paint them for sure
Hope they'll bring the body out separately
Hi big fan in the future can you please tell us the ps colours like that we can order the kit and the paint all at once thank you
Sure I can add that info in the unboxing videos.
Body looks nice. I just wish Tamiya would stop pre-drilling the body holes…
Yep that would make life easier for body swap project for sure.
Can you please help me. I’m looking for a tamiya Bullhead. Mint in box. Thank you sir.
Try the Facebook groups and Tamiya’s sales Facebook groups
Did you see how tamiya is forming those bodies? I was at tamiya on a exibition and did see it.
Never seen it in action by Tamiya’s. Landlmodels put out a few vids on his being made.
Tamiya do make a lot of absolutely superb body sets, then spoil it by putting them on the TT-02 chassis. Saying that, the TT02-SR is a fantastic bit of kit, IF you can find one.
タミヤってauスープラのスポンサーやってたっけ?
Not sure
Love the body.shame it's on the TT02 chassis
Perfect for the TB Evo 8 chassis that’s coming out.
@@RCKickschannel just had a look.does look really good.wonder what sort of price range that'll be
Instead of doing an unboxing video the starting the build in a different video. Save one videoing by putting the unboxing and first build video together. Because every unboxing video I watch here I'm hoping every time that ur either going to start the chassis or the painting and decals in the same unboxing video. Or maybe u can do the unboxing and the body set in the first video then start the chassis in the next video
The unboxing videos do better than the build videos. Also building bodies takes time so you would have less videos each week. This would lower the channel viewer revenue and unfortunately result in the channel shutting down. What works best is an unboxing video, chassis build video, body build and run video. RC build videos are not that popular and take hours to film and edit. It’s a shame as these are my personal favourites but almost impossible to justify. I should drop all detailed builds and focus on finished builds and running but these are my favourite vids. It’s a trade off between how popular a video is and the time and effort it takes to make it. For a small channel like mine that is my full time job, I can’t risk making one video a week and it not do better than three videos.
Sell me the other body set please lol 😝
Landlmodels sell the body set
Gav , drift cars HAVE to have magnetic clips and no holes on body for that scale look . . . . . . .jus sayin .. . . .
Tamiya cut them out unfortunately so not much I can do about it. I have a few magnet sets but no point using them on this one now.
same junk chassis at least up dated so it has adjustable toe links and camber
Lose the cap
No
I'm first!
Do you plan on getting the Senna kit off the tc chassis
