Hello, Russel thanks for great videos. I was travelling to Russia lot of times for bussiness and holidays (Sochi most of the time). Wasn't there since beggining of the SMO, airplane tickets skyrocketed, but wanna come really soon. Is it still easy to exchange foreign money (EUR,USD) in exchange offices or there are some other procedures? Are they different exchange rates? Best regards

I was at Vnukovo Airport in April. I didn't realize the Metro was connected to it.
But boy, what an improvement VKO has become, from when I was last there in 2012!
The Metro station only opened back on the 9th September. The Aero Express has been there a lot longer though. The place really has changed a lot recently.

As I have been reading the comments, I came to a conclusion that these who write negative comments are either a bit insane, got stuck in the past or simply hostile and jealous. I have just visited Istanbul and can easily say something bad. But I don’t feel like I can write bad stuff. I liked the people-they are real hard workers-and are very much nice. If I watched a video about Istanbul or Turkey, I’d never write a bad comment. It’s just not my style. Who are writing bad comments here? Mostly elderly cold warriors or young idiots from russophobic centers in Eastern Europe.

It’s a very good idea to have several airports, like Moscow has as opposed to one huge airport like in Istanbul with lots of walking. In Moscow’s airports one really doesn’t have to walk long distances to their terminals and gates.
Again, it again support my point that Moscow is one of the most comfortable cities for living. But it’s safeness is superior to most cities in the so-called west (that is increasingly becoming more like a third world).

Russell, great video, thanks. Most startling thing about the Moscow area and the Metro in particular is the total lack of any kind of commercial advertising. It does make for clean lines and allows you to view the architecture and buildings without clutter or distractions.

10:15 Рассел, там на синей табличке, где public transport, есть обозначение метро - буква "м" и номер линии метро 8А. Мы все, когда видим эту букву, знаем, что где-то рядом метро. 😊
Да, буква М очень известная и узнаваемая. Но я ожидал увидеть на вывесках красный цвет, а не белый. Возможно, позже поменяют вывеску.
Вывески в аэропорту абсолютно не информативные, буква М на московских указателях всегда обозначается красным цветом и должна бросаться в глаза. Вы то может, когда М видите знаете, что там метро, а человек приехавший в столицу впервые должен голову ломать как у нас что обозначается? К тому же как-будто намеренно не написали именно слово МЕТРО, там просто ОБЩЕСТВЕННЫЙ ТРАНСПОРТ. Это вполне вероятно сделано в угоду Аэроэкспрессу, который скоро будет возить воздух. По этой же причине игнорируются многочисленные просьбы часть поездов D1 в сторону Лобни пустить в Шереметьево.

@@58090no, you can't. Though it arrives at the same railway station from where trains to Krasnodar depart, and you only have to walk 200 meters, but long distance trains don't go every hour and the tickets are not always available

I recon, i was using uber taxi from Vnukovo, because they have had big discount for the first ride, some years ago. Good that concrete pilons outside airport have numbers, its easier for you and your driver to find each other. Uber driver was a nice guy, it was good to have a chat for a long ride. Also there was a hint to use first ride discount many times, using different bank cards. But now i think most people who travelling without big luggage will just rather use metro.

Там же на вывеске есть большая буква "М"! Она и говорит о том, что там вход в метро.
На многих небольших надземных знаках еще не было никакой маркировки. А вот те, которые действительно нужно было менять на знаменитый красный цвет.

да, сильно заметно, что снизился поток такси, обычно чуть не в три ряда.. Люди поняли, что на метро быстрее, надежнее и дешевле в 20 раз. От внуково доехать одному до дома на такси минимум 1200 рублей и 40 минут без пробок. Если это в рабочее время метро, за 50 рублей - около 1 часа.. и минут 5 прогуляться от метро до дома. Выбор очевиден.

Moscow has 3 airports. Seremetrevo Airport is the largest international airport. Vnukovo Airport and Damdamaadenrovo Airport. It is a domestic airport but was upgraded to an international airport to reduce load. All airports have a subway system running from the center to the airport. There are also buses. Train stations from cities of the Russian Federation are connected to the metro system

Thanks for the tour of the Moscow Metro Russell! Living in Detroit, I just came across an article recently about a vision from our local rail service Amtrak that wants to make a similar service available at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. It's been a vision for about 60 years and has always fizzled out and will probably still fizzle out once again. Mass transportation has always been needed in Detroit but the big 3 car manufacturers back in the 1950's put an end to it removing local rail, and trolly service's to get more consumers to buy cars. I shared this link of your Moscow Metro on their post to show them how it should be done right! ✌😄👍

Vnukovo is much, much "user-friendly" than Sheremetyevo or Domodedovo airports.
They have done a lot of work to make it easier, this Metro is going to be such an asset going forward. Even just for the people working there or living in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The wolf chasing the hare and running down the escalator, jumped into a small plastic tub, a sow had in her arm (the same sow shown in another cartoon on the beach with 3 bikini tops), sliding down the escalator, but missing the hare and the train, where he is in.
